good luck! if I had any advice, I'd just say to keep off your back and sides if you have back labor at all. I couldn't because of my high BP but I wish I did!

That's great and sounds super favorable ! I was induced with cervadil as well. I was 1cm and 80 percent when they started it. I was having contractions already and contracted the entire night !! They started my pit at 6 am the next day. I was 100 percent and 2 cm. I got my epi around 8:00. By noon I was at 4cm and by 2:30 I was complete. I started pushing around 3 and our son was born at 4:12 ! I bet it moves pretty quickly for you too! Good luck ! You will meet your baby tomorrow !!!!

I was induced overnight with cervidil, but wasn't dilated at all when I went in and was a 1 when it was done. I started pitocin at noon, and baby girl was born at 9. I labored mostly in the tub, without pain meds. You can do it!!!

I was induced with pitocin (was 3 cm dilated on my own when we started) and I did fine until I was about 5-6 cm and they turned the pitocin up to about 12, I think? My advice is to stay in CLOSE touch with your anesthesiologist and sign all the paperwork when you first get there so that you can labor as far as you can possibly stand it, so when anesthesia is ready to place your epidural you won't be super traumatized! Plus, the more energy you expend laboring through horrible contractions, the less energy you have later on to push!

On that note, also try to nap as much as you possibly can in the early stages of the induction and after your epidural is placed!! Also EAT if they will let you (and eat on the way in just in case they don't!). You want to give yourself as much energy as possible for when pushing time comes. With my first I pushed for 3 hours and he never even crowned. He had a big head so I needed help, but I had gone through a really traumatic 24 hour labor with no sleep for 2 nights by the time it came time to push (and no food as well) so obviously I was really weak!

I was induced with cytotec and didn't even need the pictocin. The cervadil might be enough to start labor on your own!

That sounds very promising! Although my contractions started a day before my induction date, i ended up still having to be induced.

Make sure you eat before you go in!! They were really strict about not eating food, and i had to beg them to let me have diluted oj. I was already in active labour for 15 hours, and my last meal was a small bown of soup!! I had no energy and was actually falling asleep between pushes. Take coconut water to replensih electrolytes. Also, see if you can eat that pb sandwich after you deliver. I tend to get hypoglycemic, and since all i had was sugary oj during my labour, i ended up fainting when i got to my private room.

Good luck! I'll echo the others....eat! I went 36 hours after sneaking a sandwich at 1am before they'd let me eat, had a not smuggled in that lame sandwich it would have been closer to 42 hours. I was soooo hungry. I had the baby and was asking about a snack like a minute later.

I was also induced with cervidil and pitocin too but unfortunately mine ended in a c-section.
