Since we're all talking about car seats. 
What's a inexpensive but obviously still highly rated 5 point harness?
Inexpensive as in less than $100-$150. Looking for a inexpensive one for the IL's car when #2 is ready to go to a convertible. We plan to move #1 to a 5 point harness and #2 will get #1's Britax Marathon.

I guess I don't know enough about carseats....when can a LO use a 5 point harness or convertible booster? Or are they the same thing?

@autumnlove: A diono Radian is basically a 5 point harness! It's basically a seat that has a 5 point harness like a convertible (ie Britax Marathon) but can eventually be used with your car's seat belt with the back on. And eventually when your LO is old/heavy enough you can take the back off and use it as a backless booster as well.

I LOVE the Graco myride 65. Cannot rave enough about it. We got the dlx one on amazon a couple weeks ago for $113 (it was on sale).

@autumnlove: They are sometimes referred to as a combination seat - 5 point harness that turns into a booster used with a seat belt (frontier) and sometimes a backless booster (Nautilus)

It's probably a little less confusing for people if you call it a combination seat, as a convertible like the Marathon is a 5 pt harness as well.

We have the graco nautilus, I also call it a five point harness booster

I have the evenflo chase. It was very cheap! And IIHS rated it a best bet in 2013.

Just convinced my sister to get this one http://www.target.com/p/evenflo-maestro-performance-harness-booster-seat-dylan/-/A-14920223#prodSlot=medium_1_6&term=car+seats for my nephew who at 2 years old outgrew his convertible (like the straps couldn't go higher, he's ginormous). They purchased it from the children's hospital and got it fitted to him and they hospital recommended it.

@Bao: @Boogs: @looch: how is it for day to day use? Someone mentioned on another thread that the straps are a pain.
I had it on my list and my brother just bought it for DD for Christmas!

@regberadaisy: the straps do get twisted around from time to time, but I have the exact same issue on my Britax seats, so I think it's more user than seat.
I like it a lot. The only reason why I don't LOVE it like I do the Britax Frontier is because it doesn't have the easy belt installation available as part of the Click Tight technology.

@looch: I can't remember, is your LO old enough to use the car seat belt yet? Wondering how it is at that phase. I do love the Britax Frontier!

@regberadaisy: My son is 4 and he's in the five point harness. But he is almost 40 pounds, and at that point, we'll have to switch to a belt install rather than using LATCH.
