C has been a little congested for a few day but last night it seemed a lot worse. You can hear her breathing and it just all.,. Snotty sounding? I've done saline drops and the nosefrida but it only helped somewhat. She also has been coughing occasionally- just a couple if little coughs but I'm worried its snot backing up in her throat? Ped isn't open er but I'm not totally overreacting calling for this right? She is only 8 weeks.

D has had congestion for the past couple of days and it's causing him to cough a lot and interrupting his sleep. He had the same thing several weeks ago. I let it go until he had a fever and started pulling on his ear. But he's 8 months, not 8 weeks. Probably at 8 weeks I would have at least called the ped and run it by them. That's what they're there for!!

At 8 weeks, I would call and have them check her out, just to be on the safe side. I hope she feels better soon!

She does seem fine otherwise, her usual aometimes super sweet and sometimes cranky mess behavior :). But I hate hearing her so congested. I'm going to call when she finishes eating since they should be open now.

LO is 12 weeks and has been congested for a few days now. She hasn't run a fever yet and it seems to be improving, so I haven't called yet. I'm giving it til this weekend, because I figure it's just a cold or allergies, which the Dr can't do anything about. If she was 8 weeks though, I'd probably call just to be on the safe side. Not overreacting at all

They open at nine but are in a staff meeting until ten! Even as a ftm I guess I realize this isn't an emergency. Glad you would call too.

You might also try a steam shower while you're waiting. About 20 minutes in a nicey steamy bathroom really helps my kids when they get congested!

I call, but that's because my son is pre-asthmatic and I am paranoid.

@Honeybee: hmm maybe I could also get my shower in! Of she won't go down for a nap ill do that. Then bath time in the steamy bathroom.

@Honeybee: the hot bathroom seemed to help and she didn't cry in the bath- a first! Weare going to the ped at 2 though just on case. She is def still all snotty.
