Looking for a good quality infant swing for baby #2 that has a smallish footprint. We have a small house!
We had the SUPER basic model Graco swing (used) for #1, but it was such a piece of junk we ended up throwing it away.
I don't want to spend a ton of money. I think I want it to be able to fold up, but doesn't necessarily need to be one of the tiny portable ones.
Also, question. Do you think it is necessary to get a swing that also sways from side to side?

I was gifted a Graco and it was broken from the start. I returned it and got the FP Luv U Zoo swing. I 
FP!
Edit - I did use both motions but it isn't a necessity, we mainly used the traditional back and forth.

We had a graco elephant one. It was great but it did take up a lot of space. BIL had a small one because they have a small place and he said it wouldn't swing well becuse it was so small. I have no idea what kind they had though.

We have a small house too but we made the Snugabunny swing fit. I couldn't live without it!

Doesn't fold up and isn't small, but we have the Snugabunny swing and it was AMAZING!!! Xander started sleeping longer stretches in that thing and I was actually able to get some sleep!!!

The fisher price space saver swing....so much smaller than the huge swings they make! It sits closer to the floor. I bought one to have at work. It only swings one way but I don't think that's a deal breaker! Its a lot cheaper too...

Absolutely agree with @Adira: the snugabunny is AHMAZING! It's definitely not small or foldable though.

We have the FP Luv u Zoo. C loved it for a long time but I hate it it's huge, never sat completely flat no matter what we tried, and the motor is almost totally shot after 4 months. I've read FP will send a replacement motor but I don't even want to fix it for a future baby. Unfortunately, my MIL gifted it to us (though it was on our registry) so my husband thinks it's rude to get rid of it. Sigh. So it sits unused for months in our already tiny living room.

We had the snugabunny but we never used the side to side motion.
I was very glad that it plugged into the wall rather than batteries though!

Wow, I'm surprised how many people didn't like their Graco! We got the Lovin' Hug Capri, (plugs in) and love it to death. We used it pretty much daily for 18 months and plan to use it again for #2. It is really big though. It was between that and the Snugabunny for plug in high quality swings, and I really hate the bunny ears, so we went with Graco.

Snugabunny is totally worth the larger footprint! I'd seriously try to find the space, it's a lifesaver.
