Posting again, wrong picture -
We have this one - I somehow bought it on sale for $16 two years ago! I looked out it curiosity and similar ones still exist on Amazon but the pricing is insane. I think these things are basically impossible to patch if they get a hole so not worth a big investment to me.
But the kids love it! We got it when they were 3 and 6, now they are 5, 8 and 1. Especially with the 1 year old we haven’t been filling it as high, more like couple inch splash height, but it’s still a lot of fun. (Tip I learned from the reviews: this one has a drain hole halfway up, but you can fill past that using a wine cork in it.) It’s big enough we can all 5 fit no problem, and we just tried putting the toddler slide in there which was a big hit. It is a pain to store, as well as to drain especially since our yard isn’t flat. We had to buy an air pump separately. But overall I definitely recommend if you can find one at a decent price!

I got this one this year through store pick up at Walmart… It is an in-house brand version of the Intex pool we have had for at least three years running now. The price should be under $20, but unfortunately Distribution companies have bout up a bunch and are selling them at $100-$200 each. My neighbor got hers through Target (also a store brand; not Intex; we both had in-stock notifications turned on and bought them literally the second we got notifications. Brand doesn’t matter so much, but I’d say this size is ideal for a 4 year old, especially if you want to get as well. We put two adults and three kids ages two, four and six at last use and were very comfortable.
I’m not telling you the part about them being super marked up to discourage you, but I also kind of felt I should you know that my cheeky answer to your question is “Any model you can buy for under $50 is the best one!” - At least under current circumstances!

@bhbee: we always put our kiddie pools of this size on a tarp, make sure they are level, use a cover, and DH is kind of OCD so we chlorinate it’s and don’t drain it! We’ve had luck making them last this way....I’ve patched a small hole to finish the season as well! I’m offering this as encouragement for people trying To justify the Amazon prices if there are no other options!!

We bought one from target. It’s their sun squad brand and it’s 10 ft x 6 ft (22 in deep). It was only $34 and has stood up well so far. It was only in stock at the store though.

@PinkElephant: that’s good to know! I would never have even thought about chlorinating it. I wish our backyard was better set up for it, but we can make it work.

We recently bought this pool from buybuybaby for our 12 month old. We have only used it once so far, but it's a nice size and she seemed to like it! Hoping to get a lot more use out of it as the weather gets warmer.

Pro tip: if you put a hair dryer on the cool setting, you can use it to blow up the pool.

For those of you who have these, do you have any issues with water in the yard when you drain them? We're thinking about getting one but our biggest hesitation has been draining that much water out on a regular basis. We live in a humid environment (VA) so wondering how y'all have managed that or if it's not really an issue.

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread!
I've been looking everywhere for a pool like this and finally found one out of town on a work route DH was on yesterday (lucky because he's only working like 1-3x a month).
I think we'll try to chlorinate/cover it as best we can but since we are in FL I'm going to keep an eye on the mosquitos.
@Mrs. Carrot: As for draining regularly, you can try to do it a bit at a time over a couple hours which would help the yard absorb it more slowly. You can also try to run a hose to siphon from the pool and direct the water in a slower flow to where you would rather it go. If you're not chlorinating then it would be a great way to re-use the water for plants or things.

@Mrs. Carrot: we use a siphon and hose to direct the water away from the house/into the woods otherwise our yard would be a swamp!

@winter_wonder: just popping in to say Aldi has some in their ad for this week but I didn’t find any in my local store.

There were a lot of posts today about how Aldi has them. I happen to find one at target online last weekend b/c I happen to be up before 6 am and was randomly looking. I also set alerts on my phone for the ones that @foodiebee: has as they have them at Target. It seems like they get them in stock early in the morning and sell out fast.
