I've had some requests recently that I am sure are harmless but I don't recognize the name so they're not IRL friends/family. My IG is private and so are a lot of other peoples. When I get requests and am not sure who it's from, I always request that I be allowed to follow them first to see who it is before I decide to approve/deny.

I allow anyone to follow me on Instagram. I don't post pictures of anything really private. I used to blog, so I don't have a problem sharing certain things with people I don't know. I am, however, very particular about Facebook.

I usually assume it is someone on here if I'm not too certain who they are....hmm maybe I need to be more careful with that.

My Instagram is private - I only follow those I know in real life, and I only allow followers that I know in real life... and even then, just because I know them doesn't mean they get to follow me!
(Not that I'm posting anything all that exciting... mostly just my cat, ha!).

on instagram, i don't post anything i wouldn't care for the whole world to see. facebook is another story, though. i'm pretty brutal when it comes to accepting friend requests on facebook. i know some people who will let anyone follow their instagram account, but are really picky about which twitter followers they allow. i say you have the right to control who has access to your social media as strictly as you please!
