DD is 2 months old today and while DH and I have messed around, we haven't actually had sex. We are planning to try tonight, but I'm scared! Advice?
Thanks ladies (and gentleman)!

While I can't speak from experience what I've been told is:
go SLOW... lots of foreplay... and lube.
Kinda like the same advice they give for the "first time" lol

@cyndistar3: I'm just scared because I've started bleeding and being really sore again lately.

Lots of foreplay and take it slow! I had 3rd degree tears but we did it a day before I hit 6 weeks pp. It didn't hurt surprisingly. Good luck! Have fun and try not to be too tense

I was also terrified, and it really wasn't bad at all. Actually it was good Like others said, go slow and use lube!

How did you ladies find time?! I never really noticed until we actually wanted to spend some "quality time" together, but DD will.not.stop. It isn't any worse than normal (colicky, thrush, and teething) but now that we have something to do so to speak, it's really frustrating.

@Green Thumb: My baby girl probably slept about 7 or 8 hours a night at 2 months, so we just used some of our sleeping time. It's hard and frusterating because you're soooooo tired... but it's also worth it.
Now she sleeps 11 to 12 hours a night, which actually started at 2 1/2 months. So we put her to bed at 7:30 and have the rest of the night to ourselves.

I can't speak for myself, but my cousin recently had a baby (end of Oct) and had sex at 3 weeks post-partum. I went bug-eyed, and she was like "well, it was first night without baby, and I wasn't used to drinking..so the buzz I guess helped."
okayy..whatever works? lol! I crossed my legs when she told me.

@sorrycharlie: yikes!!! maybe she didn't have any tearing? I couldn't imagine having sex at 3 weeks pp. ouch!

I had no tearing and no complications and we had sex at 10 days pp. It didn't hurt but it made the bleeding worse.

@StbHisMrs: yikes 10 days! your a brave woman! I was still walking around like I had a corn cobb up my butt :S
We waited 6 and a half weeks... we tried 4 times with out success (had to stop because I was in pain) I had a pretty bad tear though.

I had a c-section, but I can tell you that we waited the 6 weeks and even though I had nothing going on in the vag area - IT HURT. I felt like I got tightened up from not doing it for 6 weeks lol

I had a 2nd degree tear, and we had sex 5 weeks post partum. Just use lots of lube and take it slowly!
