Hello! My husband and I may be starting the adoption process in the next couple of months and I thought I would try to connect with some other adoptive mamas!

A little background on me - I was diagnosed with PCOS last year, and have been trying to get pregnant for the last year or so. I have another month left of Clomid, but we are pretty sure that if it doesn't work out, we will pursue adoption rather than fertility treatments. The last year has been the hardest year of my life and the idea of adoption makes me feel so happy and hopeful!

While we have been very interested in foster care and international adoption, it seems the best fit for us at this point is a domestic infant adoption. We've sent away for info from several agencies and there's a local agency we really like. We are meeting with them a week from today to get more information before we apply.

I've started a list of questions to ask - but I'm worried I'm forgetting something! Most of my questions are about cost, average wait time, and ethics. For those of you who have adopted or are going through the process - what questions do you suggest we ask, or what questions do you wish you would have asked? How did you decide on your angency?

Thank you in advance for your help. I'm so thankful for a supportive community like hellobee!
