@Thehistoryofus: well I went to school, then applied for a job and got it
Originally I starter going to school for Computer Science, then switched majors several times to Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, etc. Finally I was tired of changing majors and just wanted to graduate. Since I was always in some engineering field I naturally had more than enough math credits to get a degree in Applied Math and Statistics. The whole time being in school I was tutoring on the side (math) and I noticed how much of an aversion there is to math and how many people are actually afraid of it. This put me on a mission to help explain math to people in a way they could understand it and apply it to their lives or college major, ultimately helping them achieve there dreams and getting through that math roadblock and maybe even learning to like math just as I have
I originally was going to be a highschool math teacher since there is such a need for good highschool teachers these days, but after applying for many many jobs and going up against 50-100 other applicants, I wound up applying for college jobs as well. Eventually I got a call back from one did my first interview, then second, then third, then finally got the job!
So far I love the college I am at, it uses an applied learning approach which is how I always thought learning should be.
Well see what happens later on down the road, but right now very rewarding and a great wrk environment

@Thehistoryofus: well you can definitely look into both. I know most highschools will want some education degree, and a lot of colleges prefer PhDs but if you look around and apply to enough places you can find ones that only require a Master's. Especially if you look at business colleges
