My little guy is 5 weeks old and I don't know what I would do without my iPad. I have an app that tracks all his feedings, pumping, nursing, diapers, etc. and it has been something to do during pumping and late night feedings. I wouldn't have the patience to start up my computer every time I sat down to feed or pump.
Any other Moms consider the iPad (or other tablet) essential baby gear?

I never tracked feedings and diapers so the ipad wasn't a must have for me! I like playing plants vs zombies on the ipad.. that's about it!

I don't think an iPad or other tablet is a must-have just because I can do everything I would do on a tablet on my phone!

@autumnlove: I am using baby connect and I really like it. I would never remember how many diapers or how long he nursed for. I also like the timer for pumping. It is shocking to me that I have spent over 40 hours pumping over 4 gallons of milk. The graphs and stats are interesting to see.
@mediagirl: A phone would be a similar "must have" but my phone doesn't do apps that well. -

I actually use my iPhone FAR more than my iPad. My must haves for it are Safari, Email, Facebook, Pinterest, Groupon, Zulily, and some games.

@artbee: haha. ditto. i have one now but i just used an old fashioned piece of paper to keep track of feedings and naps. it worked just fine!

I used a pen and paper too, and then I tossed away all of the notes I kept when my son was about 7 months old.
Not sure what I was going to do with the data, lol. -
I have to agree - as cool as the iPad is, I don't think it's necessarily a must have. I'll totally be using apps on my iPhone, though, which is similar!
