We attended our first birth class tonight and DH is interested in me hiring a doula b/c I am really terrified of childbirth. I'm pleasantly surprised. At 32 weeks is it too late for me to find one? How would I find one? How much do they cost?

i don't think it's too late, but you might have less options as some doulas book up quickly or only take a few clients at a time! you can start here to take a look at doulas in your area: http://doulamatch.net/
you can also reach out to any like-minded people who may have recommendations: chiropractors, birth centers, you birth class teacher, etc.
for me, finding someone who was calm and collected was important as i was type-a, or so i thought.

It's not too late! I'm a doula, I've literally had people call me in early labor. I don't recommend that obviously, since I like to get to know my clients and their personalities and desires before the birth, but yeah... never too late. Doulamatch is a great place to start looking.

I did a Google search 'doula + your city' but I used the Dona.org and PalsDoula.org sites to search. Good luck.
