My DH is nearly seven years sober (not alcohol though) and we met during the first year of his recovery. Not the same as what you may be experiencing but I wanted to offer my support and bump for you as well.

Bumping for you. Not exactly the same, but my sibling is in recovery; specifically from drugs, but alcohol was also abused. It's been a trying process, for our entire family. Lending my support, and wishing you strength!

Former alcoholic here (and I say former not recovering deliberately. I genuinely have no desire or interest in it anymore, unlike many alcoholics who struggle forever). Feel free to wall me if you like. My MIL is also a current addict (alcohol and pills), so I'm dealing with it some on the other side as well.
