Nope, not at all. When we spend christmas in Sydney, my husband and I volunteer all day at a shelter where they put on a massive street party for people with no place to go, and we plan to continue that tradition with our son...we don't do presents but donate the money we would spend to the shelter. This year we will be in Canada with my family who also aren't religious, but we do the big christmas dinner and present exchange. I'm hoping that next year my parents will come to Sydney and we will all volunteer together, my son will be about 20 months and I want to expose him as early as possible to the fact that not everyone gets to celebrate christmas the way we might.

No - even though I consider myself a non-denominational Christian, my Christmas / holiday celebration is totally secular.

Yes, it is. We celebrate Advent as a season of waiting, preparation, and giving. We celebrate Christmas as a time of joy, hope, peace, and a season to reflect/remember the birth of Christ. (Although, no, of course we don't think it was actually Christ's birthday. I don't know anyone who does!)

ETA: But we totally do all the secular stuff too!

Yes, we definitely focus on Advent and the birth of Jesus but we love Santa and elves and cookies and all that good stuff too. It's such a beautiful time to be at church, too.

Yes! We try to keep it the main focus of the holiday. But we love sharing the "magic" of Christmas with LO as well, and sharing the spirit of giving and love.

Nope! But I don't believe in a god, so there's that I still think it's a beautiful season with wonderful traditions & I enjoy celebrating those.

Absolutely! We love all holiday traditions, Christmas lights, tree decorating, Christmas parties ect but we also believe the reason for this whole season is to celebrate our Saviors birth. This whole time of year is so joyful and I am glad everyone can find happiness in it even if they aren't religious too. Makes it more fun!
