The girls asked to go outside today but the feels like temp is 9 degrees with strong winds, and I feel like that's too cold to go out...especially with the windchill. I feel bad because it is snowing and they want to play since we haven't had much snow, but I think they would be miserable after just a couple of minutes. Maybe I'm being a baby thought!
Is it ever too cold to take your LO out, or do you take them out no matter what?

i would say yes, it can be too cold to take my kids out, but 9 degrees would not be it for me. Maybe because i am in Canada, so my limit would likely be closer to something to -20 degrees Celsius (which i calculated to be -4 Fahrenheit). And when it is that cold, there is usually a windchill factor that makes it feel colder.
That being said, i walked to the grocery store with LO this morning and it was only -5C (23 F) with a windchill of -13 (9 F), and he got really cold. I think it was because he was sitting in the stroller and not moving around. And not dressed warm enough. I am going to go outside with him again this afternoon, but put his snow pants and warmer hat and mitts on, i think he will be okay then.

Lol. I'm in the Pacific Northwest so when I hear 9 degrees, I'm like OMG - we would be in full on emergency mode here 
At about 40 degrees, she complains it's too cold to go outside. The problem here is that it rains constantly and while that doesn't normally deter us (after all, it does rain from oct - may), it's been super windy as well so the rainstorms have been keeping us indoors.

Lol we went to the park this morning (it was around 45* out) and LO was crying after 15 minutes that it was too cold and she wanted to go home.

If it is below 35 and windy it is too cold for me. But I am in NC and it never really gets below 20, so we aren't really acclimated to cold temps.

HB has made me more brave with temperature because it is all relative. It started cooling down when the time changed. I continued to walk LOs home from daycare in the stroller and ergo. DCP made a comment about it being too cold when it was 55F. I pointed out that people in other parts of the country take their kids out in much colder weather (thanks, HB).

This morning it was 35 when I got in the car. I called the nanny and told her not to take DD out until it was over 50.

I always try to take E outside, even if its just for a little while..... but it doesn't get that cold here. Brrr!

Not really. If it is below freezing I just limit our time outdoors. I tend not to go outside if it's icy, because we don't need broken limbs. Luckily our winter so far here in NY has been super mild. We haven't taken out our down coats yet!

As long as they're dressed appropriately, I take them out. Wind chills of -20 was the only time we changed our plans.

After living in Canada I am with @californiadreams: , something like -20 would make me pause. I once visited Quebec City over Christmas and it was soooo unbelievably cold and windy that people were walking backwards. That was a day I thought it was too cold to take LO out.

The only time I would say it's too cold is when it's 'frostbite under 15 minutes' weather.

@kaykay said it. I find that I get cold before kids do because I am just standing at the park and they are moving around. It's all about having the right stuff.

J's favorite season is winter and begs to go outside no matter the temp. We need to set limits for him because he would live outside in the winter if he could. In January it is typically around 0 or in the negatives (fahrenheit) the whole month, and he's still so happy to play outside. The weather is pretty much the same as where you, @Bao:, live.
They will close schools here though for extremely cold temperatures. Being in healthcare that doesn't mean I get off work but just an illustration that it gets quite literally deathly cold here.

I don't know!! I was going to find out daycare's rule and follow that. We are in MI too! Praying we don't lose power.
