My husband comes home tomorrow evening after being gone 3 weeks. I am so excited, I know I'll never sleep!
I always get like this the night before he comes home....You'd think after 5 years of his crazy schedule, I'd be able to control myself!!!
Are you a little kid about sleep when something exciting is about to happen?

Absolutely! Even something as simple as having a hair appointment or mani/pedi scheduled...Something that is exciting always messes up my sleep.

I am at work trying to prep an application to our state supreme court . . . I just.can't.move.forward. which means I can't sleep. It usually only happens when I am stressed/anxious. : /

@MsLipGloss: I also can't sleep when I'm anxious because my mind races. This is often a problem for me when M has a wake up at like 3 or 4 am because ill get her back down but it will be impossible for me to go back to sleep. It sucks.
@littlek: I'm obsessed with Christmas. Maybe I had a Christmas CD on at work the other day. It helps me focus. Don't judge.

@MamaMoose: I'm the same way with those 3 or 4 am wakeups. LO doesn't wake up but sometimes I'll hear him randomly cry or moan, or my psychotic early-bird DH wakes me up. My mind starts to spiiiiiiin and I worry about the most random stuff and cannot fall back asleep to save my life.

@PrincessBaby: yay! Glad he's coming home! I get like that sometimes. Always before morning plane flights!
ETA: oh! I was in labor for 34 hours and didn't sleep that whole time - even after I got an epidural because I was so excited. After she was born I also did not sleep for at least another 10 hours. I could not stop wondering at her!

yes! back to school time is the worst for me. i always think i will oversleep, have dreams about being late, etc. it doesn't seem to get better even though in all my years of attending school or teaching i have never overslept & missed class!

I usually have trouble sleeping if there's something interesting/worrying happening the next day eg. my birthday, E's appointments, christmas. One night last week I had trouble sleeping because we were going to view a house the next day.

I get super excited before big events. DH and I have left early for a vacay before because we can't stay asleep haha.
