I've heard good things about it, but it's so much more than other bouncers. Why?

Following this... I know people have said it's worth it (LMW is too heavy for her fisher price bouncy seat now, it almost goes horizontal when she's in it! so I think we need to upgrade) but yeah, it's so expensive!! I saw one on nobetterdeal.com and hesitated, dangit, and it was gone the next day

I'm one of the few who didn't love it. We got it when LO was a few months and he just never really liked it. A lot of wasted $$!

This is one of the very few baby items that we have used every day since LO was born (now 4+ months)! We don't own any other bouncers so I can't really compare but I like this one because it folds flat so is easy to transport or put away, LO has learned to bounce herself and has never tired of it the way she did her swing, and the toy bar we bought entertains her for at least 30 minutes at a time. And it doesn't scream baby, in terms of aesthetics. Worth every penny, in my opinion.

well we used a fisher price bouncer until charlie was 5 months old. he got too big for it then. once he started crawling at 6 months, there's no way he would have sat in it anyway.
since olive was physically delayed, we used the bjorn bouncer until 8 months. we used it as a high chair too because babies can sit more upright in it. so we definitely got a ton of use out of it because it has a longer life than the fisher price bouncer.
if you already have one, i wouldn't buy the bjorn. i bought mine used and sold it for the same price i paid!

My daughter liked it better after she was able to get in and out of it herself. I never owned any other bouncer so I don't really have anything to compare it to. It definitely helped after I got her an activity bar for it. It allowed me to take showers most days. And I was able to easily pack it with us on a road trip once. Now, I'm able to pass it on to my sister so I have no regrets.

My friend's three year old still likes to sit in his.. He is waaaay to big for it, but he likes to use it as a chair it seems to hold up well, considering.

We have an infant bouncer that's gotten a ton of use, but she's getting big for it. Now she's oh-so interested on the logo on the foot pad so she ends up doubled up in it so we have to recline it, but then she tries to do crunches. We're about to retire it.
I considered getting the BB babysitter, but at this point, I doubt it'll be worth it for us. Maybe if I bought it from the beginning. I know it's not the same thing, but I plan to replace it with a jumperoo (although we'll have to wait awhile before she can use it).

@Mrs. Bee: I donated DD's bouncer to a local church so I have to get another one!
It sounds like this bouncer has the potential to last longer than others so maybe it's a worthwhile investment.

Does the BB bouncer have a vibrate feature on it? That's what sold us on the Fisher Price one. It is so soothing to M. She calms down when we turn on the vibrations.

I got one on craigslist for $60. For that price, I hope it's worth it!

I have it and bought it from Gilt with the toy bar for around $100. He really didn't like it at first, but now at almost 6 months, we use it every day. He doesn't bounce in it, though, just hangs out and plays with the toy bar. It looks as if it'll last him quite a while longer, too. I use it as a high chair at worn, as well. I would not have paid full price, though.

@Andrea: it is one of those things that has a high resale value. i've seen them go for $125 (with the toy bar) on my local listserv.

@Mrs. Bee: ok, I think you have convinced me to buy one!

@kml636: we had a toy bar and olive played with it a lot. but we also had the tiny love stroller arch, and you can attach that on there too. it's cheaper, and you can use it on the stroller and car seat too!

@Mrs. Bee: Okay, good to know because I already have that arch! Thanks!

I also bought mine for way less ($90) because of mrs. Bee! I like that it's not a baby color and it's all folded up and waiting for her to arrive in January! I'd love to be able to sell it for what I bought t for and I'm going to look at those toy arches you all recommended! Thanks!

@kml636: that's a really great price!!
I want one for baby #2.
@mediagirl: Cobi hated the vibrations lol
