I am registering for baby bedding (PB Kids Jackson) and was wondering if the quilt is a waste of money or not?

I don't think so. For the first 10 months or so, we didnt use it but now that she's older she LOVES it and we use it every night. She far prefers it over thinner blankets.

I had to have the quilt as well, we hung it on the wall about 5 weeks before we moved out of the apartment we were living in. We've now put our son in a full sized bed, so that quilt went totally unused.
I am thinking about making it into a nap mat for daycare, but that involves finishing a project and I just don't know about that right now!

LO has a quilt that a friend made that sits on top of the glider. It's very pretty and nice decoration, but not necessary at all. Now that she has a toddler bed I'll use it when we make the bed nice.... which really will only be when I know people are coming over to see her room.

It is at first. We got the PB Kids Harper bedding and the quilt is still wrapped in plastic : ) But I intend to use it once LO transitions to a toddler bed set up.

Although she will not use hers. I love it as an accent to her room. I have it over the rocker.

That is something I would register for, sice it would be nice to have, but then I wouldn't buy it for myself if no one else did.

Register for one you like. You probably won't use it until LO is much older, or even a toddler, but at least you will like it. A family friend made a quilt for DS and while I really loved and appreciated the gesture, it is not my style at all. I'm pretty picky about what we use in our home, so it is stored away. Is that terrible?

When we registered for our PB Hayley bedding, we had the option to register for the set that came with bumpers, or the set that came with a quilt - we went with the quilt option. She may not use it until she's older, but I think it will eventually get far more use than bumpers would have, since we're not going to use them at all.

We didn't use ours as a quilt/blanket until C was about 10+ months in his crib. It's okay but C also likes certain blankets so it got used more as a quilt that was put on the floor for tummy time than anything else. It has stayed folded up in the closet for the most part in our household.

I voted 'yes' only because I received SO MANY off-registry blankets at both of my showers that I can't return or exchange, so for me it would have been a waste of money. Unless of course you love it so much that you'd either not use or donate any other blankets you receive.
