My husband and I have always been really great healthy eaters. We don't eat anything "frozen" and the extent of our "processed" foods are along the lines of cereal etc.
But a Foodie to Farm Tour 2 years ago really propelled us to be even more cognizant of where our food comes from. After touring several local farms we became really passionate about supporting local farmers.
We now belong to a CSA and hope to in the future when finances allow buy local meats, eggs, fruits etc as well.
It's also really important for me that M knows food does not come Pre-packaged from the supermarket. We've always had a garden and will continue to do so. But I want to take her on trips to local farms frequently so she knows.
Were there any particular events or experiences that really changed the way you view food?
