My (almost) 8-month-old has started biting. He left a nasty bruise on my mom and has gotten me on the arm and neck quite a few times. Is there any way to correct him for this behavior? Is he too young to know the word "no?"
Today he bit me on the arm, blew a raspberry in my face, and then started clapping at himself. Sigh.

We have the same problem. I say no and then put him down. It's not working so far though!

I don't have any personal experience but my friend did a modified "time out" at that age. She would put her son down immediately in PnP and firmly say no biting then leave room or turn away for 30 seconds. It worked for them

Miss A went through a biting while nursing phase and I used to immediately put her in the cot and walk away. She didn't like it but it seemed to work! I also try to avoid play biting her.
