I've been trying to figure this out for a while now and finally got a clear picture of lo's eyes and the best guess I can come up with is hazel. What say you?

Beautiful eyes! And yes, I consider those hazel. What a lovely picture!

Hazel is more of a golden brown . . . she looks like she has green/blue with some central and sectoral heterochromia going on.

Hazel to me...and beautiful! they say eyes are the window to the soul, and your LO proves this!

@MrsMcD: Translation: Central Heterochromia is basically a ring around your pupil . . .
And Sectoral Heterochromia is/are splotches of color in your iris (splotches can vary in size).
I have both!

@MrsMcD: Technically, your eyes are the color of your iris, regardless of the central ring and/or splotches.

I think they're more green! Her eyes are similar to my eye color. Love her eyes - so gorgeous!

@MsLipGloss: wow so technical!
Thanks everyone, I do love her eyes. They were blueish grey for the first 6 months then turned this color over time. I was surprised because I have brown eyes, her dad has very blue/grey eyes and her sister has brown eyes!

@oliviaoblivia: I can definitely see that (or golden brown). To me, hazel eyes have a much greater concentration of a golden/brown ring in the middle that extends through most of the iris . . . sort of like this:

@MsLipGloss: I always think of it as not green/not brown. I have heterochromia with one green eye and one brown. I usually just average it out and tell people I have hazel eyes.

@MsLipGloss: Thank you
@oliviaoblivia: That sounds very interesting!

@oliviaoblivia: I have one green and one hazel (Mila Kunis style).

@oliviaoblivia: Green. When I get nervous (like if I am being pulled over!) the green really shows through. I thought that would be the best option!
ETA: And, if your iris is green, then technically, you have *green* eyes . . . but most people associate the combination of green with some brown as hazel.

They look more green than hazel to me. To me hazel is brown mixed with green or yellow.
@MsLipGloss: Cool never knew that! Mine are more like your first pic, but blue instead of brown.

Looks pretty hazel. I think there is no one color that is "hazel", it's more a group of similar colors.
These are my hazel eyes. Excuse the crazy makeup, it was my Halloween makeup! lol
