I got a new sewing machine for Christmas and I think I'd like to try and make a quilt. I've never made one before so I'm going to study some tutorials and give it my best shot. If you've made a quilt before can you tell me if this is enough fabric? I plan to buy some white too.

Oh - and you can probably get the same bundle for cheaper from an Etsy fabric shop. I saw it for as low as $95.

Oh, what about a bundle that's 9x22 instead of 18x22? Is that a more reasonable amount of fabric?

I recommend finding a pattern you like first, seeing how many fabrics you need and how much of each, then heading to a fabric shop and buying just what you need! That is a lot of fabric and not a fabulous price. And sign yourself up for joanne's coupons, they constantly have either 30% off sales or 40% of coupons

@Leialou: The smaller bundle (9x22 - known in the quilting world as fat eighths) would still be plenty of fabric and would cost you a bit less.
