So I had to talk my direct manager's boss today and she said something that I thought was strange and somewhat inappropriate. Or at least none of her business.
She wanted to talk to me about a couple things that happened in a meeting I attended. I won't go into the bigger issues we discussed, but what bugged me she brought up the fact that I was eating some candy during the meeting and said she was concerned about my health habits.
I feel like it was a really weird thing to say and none of her business. And on top of it not being her business, it was candy the company provides every day. We usually have baskets of food in the kitchen with various things - bananas, apples, granola bars, cookies, and candy. And by the end of the day the only thing that's usually left are a bunch of starbusts and lifesavers. So I brought a handful of starbursts to a 3:00 meeting. I'm still BF-ing, so I tend to be hungry at all hours.
I'm not sure what the point of this is. Just wondering if anyone else thinks it's weird or if I'm over reacting to having to justify my eating choices to my boss.
