Weird !!

I agree with @chopsuey119 that it's weird that she took a picture of a picture, but sweet that she wants to display the 3 of you. Maybe you could surprise her with a copy? Then maybe she'd ask next time, instead of randomly taking pics of your pics!

Hmmmm...I vote weird. Not so much that she liked the pic and wanted it for herself, but weird that she, like, sneakily took a phone pic and framed it.

With the way technology is in everything these days I don't really think that this is that weird as far as in law issues go- I think that it is kind of sweet that she wants a nice pic of her family.

Thought about it some more and if my MIL did this I would have written a post too. Totally weird!

It's definitely weird but I wouldn't be angry about something like that.

I don't know, I don't think it's weird at all and it wouldn't bother me, but maybe I just have a high tolerance for unusual behavior

I think it's creepy but I also think grandparents having copies of ultrasounds are kinda creepy - my MIL wanted my ultrasounds to put up on her fridge. Um, ew, no.

But then again, ultrasounds just look like little aliens to me.

@MamaJ: Seriously, who thinks "Hmm I think I'll put an u/s picture on my fridge so every time I need something from the fridge I'm greeted by this picture of a tiny grey and black alien. Isn't it cute!" Wth, MIL. Wth.

Initially I say overreacting, but I dont know your relationship. If my MILs did that (I have two, step-parents) I wouldnt be annoyed or weirded out at all. Our family is her family. I would probably even offer the send her a better copy. But, thats our family! So it might be weird for others!

i do not think that is weird at all! she loves you guys and wanted a photo and probably didnt want to trouble you. I don't uderstand personally why that would bother you. If i were you i would make her her own copy and give it to her since she clearly loves the photo! xo

@Ree723: I've got to agree with Ree723- I don't think this is weird at all. She loves you guys and thought it was a great picture.
(Side note: I think people can be really tough on MiLs- just like stepmoms there is almost no decent examples in movies/books, only evil stepmoms and horrible MiLs. I sometimes try and picture what it's going to be like when my son is married and I'm the MiL. I tell ya: I end up being a lot more forgiving to my husband's mom!)

@MamaJ: I actually have a similar situation in my household. My MiL is my polar opposite: she is extremely religious where I am not, she is extremely conservative where I am not. She married young and had five children in less than five years. I was a 35 year old professional woman when i had my one and only. We don't like the same movies, art, books or television. We don't eat the same food. The only thing we have in common is that we both adore DH. Consequently, I try to remember that if she raised such a wonderful man, then she must be doing something very right. I also never (ever, ever!) talk politics or religion.

I think it's funny! And maybe she thought she was saving you the trouble by not asking for a copy. I wouldn't think someone with a photobooth strip pictures would have duplicates laying around.

It's definitely weird! Who takes a picture of someone else's pictures??? Why couldn't she just have asked you for a copy?

it's weird but sweet! When we asked MIL to babysit once, she took selfies of her and the baby in our house and they're up on her fridge. It's funny b/c i'm like...I could've taken a photo FOR you.
