@mediagirl: Our son was exactly like this, but grew out of it!!

Our daughter is 3 and is doing the same thing... I'm hopeful she will grow out of it too!

She's a hoarder of pacifiers lately. I don't know if it's because she's sick or what, but if she sees one, she points at it and yells MIMI and cries if we dont' give it to her. She just has to touch them and rub her fingers on them....it's so weird.

No LO's yet, but I was when I was little! And my little (half) brother, who is *exactly* like me was too. Gotta be honest, I knly started really becoming minimalist in the last few years. (Basically when I realized how much I hate cleaning and dusting around all the "stuff" I had.) My brother is 13 and while he doesn't sleep with 1000 stuffed animals anymore, he has so much crap. And he won't give things up. His pajamas are WAY too small and hae holes in them, but he refuses to stop wearing them until he literally cannot fit into them anymore.

@.twist.: she's got at least one in each hand and then one in her mouth! And she'll trade them all around and if there's another one, she insists on having it, too. Here, i was planning on reducing her obsession with them...but i just caaaan't take them away from a sick baby! She likes to stick her finger in the hole. WEIRDOS

Yes, LO sleeps with about a dozen animals and two blankets every night. In the morning I must take them all out of the crib. They must all read books with us at night too. She often says "More animals" if I don't have everyone present.
