Much smaller because we live in an apartment and most everyone we know has a house.

smaller. but, i love the area we live in more than our friends' neighborhoods. so, it's kind of trade-off, but i'd love a bigger place in my 'hood!

We all have houses in the 2200-2500 sq. ft range, so they're all pretty comparable.

a lot of our friends rent small apts or houses, and we own and it's a lot bigger than their place, even though our house is only 1500 sq ft.

Ours is bigger only because we're the only couple married and live in the suburbs. Our friends are coupled or engaged living in downtown condos.

hmm all our friends in our town live on our street, so we all have houses by the same builder, ranging in sizes/upgrades. they are all similar though, but ours is on the smaller side, with the most upgrades.

if we talk about friends in our home town.. none of them have houses yet!

WAY smaller... all of our friends live in a wealthier city, that we can't afford to live in, and on top of that their houses are easily three times the size of ours.

It was actually a huge self esteem issue for us when we started hanging out with this group of friends. I felt really insecure about our financial situation in comparison with our friends. However most of them are two income families, and we're not so that is definitely a difference. I'm learning now, as we become closer with them, to care about it less.

It IS hard though when everyone in the group takes turns hosting fun social couple nights and get togethers and we wouldn't be able to fit half the group in our place

Ours is on the bigger side. We have one couple friend that just bought a new house that is larger than ours.

We're the only married couple that has a house! Everyone else lives at home with their parents. In comparison to the house they live in, our house is small but quaint. It's perfect for me and the hubby right now, but we're ready to upgrade!
