I've seen some kids that are advanced physically are behind verbally and vice versa.

Charlie was pretty average with physical milestones (army crawled at 6 months, sat up unassisted at 7 months, walked at 13 months). But then all his friends started passing him in terms of physical development. Charlie's good friend is 3 months younger than him but she's always been able to outrun him by a mile. Another of his closest friends has been zooming along on his scooter for a long time, and Charlie isn't great at riding his scooter or balance bike.

As far as cognitive milestones, he is a little more advanced than average. He's always been ahead of all the kids in his daycare in terms of speaking.

Charlie was super behind when it came to eating. He didn't like chunkier foods until he was 18 months, and even now prefers foods with softer textures (that could be related to a sensory issue that's become habit).

Olive is definitely behind in physical milestones (still army crawling at 1 and not cruising yet). Cognitive milestones she seems to be on track, but not advanced..

As far as eating, she's pretty average too.. maybe a little advanced since we did BLW, but wasn't able to master it until she was much older since her physical milestones were behind.

What about your LO?
