My hubs always comments that our daughter became less fussy once she started solids at 6 months. I think she was always a little bit uncomfortable just drinking milk and maybe the food settled her stomach or something. However, she also started crawling at 5.5 months and I feel like she became happier at that point, too, because before that she was just bored?!?

But it's true, some babies really don't cry a lot. I think they are just born that way.

so far olive doesn't seem fussy, but she's only a month old. charlie was definitely needier than she was. every baby is different... i'm sure you're not making your baby fussier.

My LO is super chill and mellow. She didn't cry much as a newborn and into the first few months of her life. Once her teeth sprouted at 5 months she's become pretty whiney and "fussy". But she's still not a big crier.

My LO wasn't overly fussy when she was younger but I did notice that my diet had a lot to do with the times when she was really fussy. I kept a log (on the baby app on my phone) of everything I was eating and referred to it when she seemed to be really fussy and started to see a pattern. Since then, we've realized that she is allergic to egg, dairy, soy, and chocolate (crossing my fingers that she outgrows it soon). Caffeine also wired her up and prevented her from sleeping.

Might be worth looking into.

Aw, hang in there! I find solace in knowing it will eventually get better. My baby is 11 weeks and she seems to be on the fuzzier side. Although I don't have much to compare her to, she may just be a typical baby. She rarely allows us to run errands without a freak out in public. I can never predict if she's going to cry the entire time in the car or if she'll just fall asleep. And at home she insists (and by insist I mean she cries until it happens) that I nurse her all day long. I go back to work next week so she's not gonna react well to the change in her routine

I used to joke that we should have named her Gussy because I would always call her fussy Gussy. That and I have a thing for old people names

We discovered reflux, and have since started medication and are trying to keep her off her back. She's been a much happier baby since then.

My LO was really fussy and when I was bringing this up to the pediatrician she figured out she has reflux. Since we started her on the "baby Zantac" she has been such a good baby! The older she gets the less fussy she is, but even when she does fuss it only takes a minute or two to find something to soothe her.
