One is, one isn't! Actually that's not true: our son listens 80% of the time, but the other 20% of the time... he doesn't listen at all. Then he decides to start listening, and all is good again. Wish I better understand what turns his listening mode on and off!

Yes, hallelujah! No more struggles for her to wash her hands before dinner time- she had been really good lately (knock on wood)! Now if only our newborn would listen to is when we say "go to sleep!!!!"

Yes, one is. 31 month old listens great. I rarely struggle wit her not listening.
13 month old, not so much. I know she's too young to "listen" or "not listen," but man, the whininess lately is KILLING me.

E listens and deliberately ignores, with a glint in her eye. I keep telling myself she doesn't really understand but when she runs off with the crayon after I have asked her to stop scribbling on the floor, hides under the table and carries on, while giggling, it's plain to see she does!

My toddler listens, but has become quite the bargainer, and lots of things have become discussions/ compromises. My baby, on the other hand, is surprising me with how well she's listening and following directions lately.
