Or fed on demand?
Part of me really wants to put him on a schedule so I can match pumping to feeding. Yesterday I had pumped at 1:30, thinking I'd be nursing LO at 4:15 but my mother (who is only watching him the first week) gleefully announced she had fed him at 4 and he wasn't hungry and told me to go pump. I didn't, of course, because I'd just been away from LO all freaking day. So I want to avoid crap like that at daycare but at the same time, the idea that LO could get hungry before his scheduled time breaks my heart.
I was thinking I'd feed him around 6/6:30, then have daycare feed him at 9, 12, and 3. But my worst fear is that he could get hungry before. We nursed on demand while I was home so he never waited more than 1-2 minutes (if I had to go grab the boppy from another room or something).
I would love to be able to schedule so I could match feedings with pumping but is it worth it?
What do you have your LO's daycare do?
