My LO has been so good lately about excusing himself if be burps or he is trying to get last you. He's also been good about saying please when asking for things. Makes me such a proud mama.

Aw, that's really cute about burping. My LO doesn't burp but she gets wide eyes if she hears a burp or fart.
She says thank you constantly now so I'm really happy about that, she kinda uses when she means please but it's still better than gimme gimme. -
kinda? we've "programmed" him to say, "may i...", "pardon?", "excuse me", etc. but in between those, he likes to roar and pretend to be a giant, etc.

My daughter has learned from birth the value of 'please' and 'thank you'. She's been saying please for a long time, and at 18 months she just started saying thank you. Dank ooooooo. God, it kills me.

For a 1 year old I think so. Please is hard but he almost always says "dank" for thank you. I attribute it to Halloween being at the right time.

Three is a tough age for manners. We just started introducing the ideas of volume control and tone with DD, so it's a work in progress.

yes i'd say so - she's really good about saying please, thank you, excuse me, and bless you.
today, she was in the middle of a meltdown (full on crying for 10 min)... and in the middle of it, her baby bro sneezed, and she managed to blurt out a "bless you!" in between the tears (then she resumed her tantrum), haha

No! He never says excuse me after burping or farting and he does it a LOT !!!! He is 6 wks old
