I'm taping up LO's Dogs book right now! She loves flap books but they get beat up pretty fast!

So rough! She had a peekaboo book that no longer has any flaps. #2 will have to get new ones I guess!

Yes, she has ripped so many of the flaps off of her Where is Baby's books. I can't even tape them back on because she rips them to shreds!

Ellie was unbelievably gentle to books of all kinds. Lorelei colors in them and rips them. Ellie quite often gets upset because Lorelei will do things to library books sometimes before we can catch her, and Ellie is always worried we will make her pay for the book. We've told her that if Lorelei does it, we will take the responsibility; it's certainly not Ellie's job to make sure that she doesn't do bad things to books. But Ellie really loves books and reading, and she really is disgusted that little sister doesn't understand yet to treat them with respect. I remember last year Ellie had a book she took home from school to read to us, and Lorelei grabbed it from her and took a HUGE bite right out of the cover!

We have some from Marshall's / TJ Maxx that are super thick cardboard and have held up great. They always have one or two of this brand, they are short and fat with bright covers.

We have one with animal noses with the tabs that move their faces. R ripped all 3 off and was working on the front cover when I found her. It was out first book casualty. She likes to eat paper.

We only buy the $1 flap books at target because I know she will rip the flaps RIGHT off. She likes when the flaps lift in the same direction. When they start changing the way they open is when she just rips them off to see underneath.
