My almost 2-year old is NOT brave or adventurous. She's pensive and unwilling to try new things. She thinks about it (ie. going down the slide) but then changes her mind and runs away. Sometimes I like that she's cautious and pensive but sometimes I wish she would be bolder.

I have one of each. Cautious, novelty-fearing Ellie, and Lorelei, aka Evel Knievel. I value both, but Ellie gives me less grey hair.

My son is not adventurous when it comes to large motor activities. He's very cautious and doesn't jump around and throw himself. He falls, though, don't get me wrong! He's very social, too, so I don't see a correlation between being adventurous and social.

My daughter is a little bit of a mix. She is very brave with certain things, but not with others. In general, she is quite shy around strangers, and then warms up after a little while. So if there are strangers involve in a new activity, she is very cautious. She is also oddly enthusiastic about animals until they come within a couple of feet of her, and then she is terrified of them.

She's too brave sometimes. She would just jump in the water if someone wasn't there to stop her. She loves to climb on things that she's not supposed to, like the ottoman that she could easily fall off of.

Yes! He is wild, brave, and adventurous! He is a climber and climbs into and on top of everything, I am shocked at some of the places he gets himself!

He's crazy! He climbs on everything and runs everywhere. He went from walking to running in a week.

I think she's pretty brave! She is 15 months and can go down the slide on her own. I think she might try to do more if it weren't for my evil eye.

She's mostly very adventurous for large motor activities and has done those things at an earlier age than her peers.

She's gotten more cautious as she's gotten older. For water stuff she's probably around average, she has a healthy fear but will put her face under and kick around when she's in the mood. For climbing and other monkey skills she just doesn't have much fear though she thankfully she has been more likely to ask for help lately to make her stunts safer. She loves exploring new places too as long as she has one of her people she's very familiar with around.

I have a shy toddler. He takes about 45 minutes to an hour to warm up to new people and things before he'll venture away from me or DH.
