Thank you all for putting up with my many posts and polls regarding my son’s party. He had a blast!

Venue- playground and sprayground, Park pavilion

RSVP- confirmed the Saturday before party 29 and within days before the party that number dropped to 21 and actual attendance 17

Menu- fruit, goldfish, pasta salad, CFA nuggets, popsicles, chocolate cake, apple juice & water

My friend and I got a 30 minute late start on setting things up and my LO and I were then 30 minutes late to the party. I had to go back home and get him and the cake before returning to the venue. If I was a guest I’d be more than a little annoyed, but everyone didn’t let on if they were.

I had a few ideas when it came to decor and given the late start we set up in stages and when it came to the final piece decided to nix because we just didn’t have time to get it right. With more time I think what we did could have been better at the same time no one complained and I wasn’t going for Pinterest just a little more festive than what was already there.

The cake did not turn out the way I requested even though I provided the headbaker with an inspo picture. Given the taste and price I am not going to lament too much. The rest of the food was a hit. Man, my LO loved almost unlimited access to apple juice.

Everyone enjoyed making maracas with Easter eggs and washi tape and picking them up throughout the party. We also had sidewalk chalk to share. The kids were excited about their treat bags.

After planning, buying, set up, and tear down I totally understand the appeal of an all-included venue party. LO woke up saying it was a beautiful day and it sure was.
