So this week, I nearly blinded myself with hot grease, my husband injured his knee playing football and my dad had to have an emergency procedure to put a stint in his artery because he had 90% blockage on a valve in his heart. If he hadn't gone to get his colonoscopy, they wouldn't have found it in time and he would have likely died of a heart attack any day.
Makes me realize how precious life is and how thankful I am to have more time with him.
Anyone else have a week from hell?

This week was crappy but mostly because of long hours at work. Nothing like yours! Hugs!

@BabyBoecksMom: ugh sorry about your week!! Hope your family is recoverign well Mine has been a nightmare too you aren't alone! Posted about it elsewhere buy was admitted to the hospital on wed for preterm labor! At 30w 3 days was contracting and 1.5 cm dilated and 50% effaced! Still in hospital and hoping to get discharged later today (on bedrest). Here's to a better wk next wk!

Oh no, so sorry so much has happened! Hope your family stays healthy!
I've had a pretty rough month, everything always seems to happen at once! My husband's best friend's mom passed away pretty suddenly from cancer (they only found out she had it 2 weeks earlier) so we have that funeral today, my grandma is in hospice, my MIL was diagnosed with breast cancer (supposed to be easily treatable with surgery but still scary), and I have surgery coming up for my migraines. I've been such a mess with all these things going on, can't wait for the next month to be over!

Oh wow. I'm really glad for you that they caught your dad's blockage. I'm assuming they will be running a whole host of tests on him ASAP?
Make sure he has his cholesterol tested.
My BIL died suddenly in his sleep because his arteries were clogged due to high cholesterol. He was only 35, who would have known?
Life IS short and precious.

Thanks, everyone, for the well wishes. My dad has been on cholesterol medication for 25 years - it's moreso hereditary than because of his life choices. He's been in great shape all of his life, and I always looked at him to be so healthy that this really took us by surprise. It was a very sobering experience for all of us and he now knows he has to watch his health closely now.
@artbee: Oh my! You poor thing! You really have had a rough month. So sorry to hear about you MIL and grandma. 
And I'll keep you in my thoughts through this next month and hoping it goes by quickly for you so that you can hold your LO again.

High cholesterol bc of hereditary reasons suck BIG TIME. My husband is probably THE healthiest person I know but he has high cholesterol and is going to be on Crestor for the rest of his life. It pisses him off because we eat healthy, he exercises, has a physical job. But it's just not enough to lower his cholesterol.
The whole family got checked out after my BIL passed away and they are all on cholesterol medicine now.
Make sure to keep a close eye on yours and your kids. I plan to have our pediatrician keep a close eye on our future kids when they are older just in case.

I can actually add to my bad week....
My neighbor just unloaded on me because I sent her a text politely asking her to stop her dog from barking for a few minutes while we ate dinner outside. (Because this dog had been barking at our fence non-stop for 20 minutes... and does that every.single.day). Apparently I have "some nerve" to ask her that and I have now made an enemy.
Joy...
