Charlie is sooo sparing with his use of the phrase "best friend." We jokingly taught him that our friend Denise was his best friend, and since then whenever we asked him through his best friend was, he would declare it was Denise.

But tonight, he finally called me his best friend as I was putting him to sleep. It's such a small thing, but it made me so happy I thought my heart was going to burst!
