That's what my MIL said to me in regards to DD's birthmark. It's a small, round, brown birthmark on her chest, that will most likely be covered by straps on her shirt or swimsuit.
Really, lady? Thanks for putting the thought into my child's head that she needs to worry about that mark. No, really, thank you............................
OH, and did I mention my MIL is so against tattoos? I can't figure that one out ...

Augh that is really, really annoying. My little sister was born with this little extra piece of skin on her nose. I always hated when people would point it out. Like seriously? Like you need to give little girls more reasons to be insecure about their bodies. She got the skin removed when she was 14.

Uggh that's awful. It sounds like she won't have any issues with it anyway but to put those kinds of thoughts in little ones' heads when appearances should be the last thing they're thinking about...makes you wonder what the heck is wrong with people.

Aw! I have a similar one, just a bit lower down on my chest. My Mom used it as a guideline of what was too low cut (LOL) If my birthmark showed I wasn't allowed to wear that top ... in my 20's it was always on proud display! I love mine, and she will love hers one day as well.

Show her pictures of beautiful women with birthmarks and how they owned it...show her individuality is beauty!

@MsMini: haha, I have a mole on my cleavage that I use to deem whether a shirt is too low cut! (Granted when I was in college days, it wasn't low cut enough if it didn't show haha, how times have changed.)

As someone who is COVERED in freckles, moles, and birthmarks, its something I've never seen as a bad thing. It makes me unique, and unlike anyone else- I'm super proud of my freckles. I bet there's even a book about zebra stripes being unique if she becomes self conscious about it- hopefully your MIL never makes her think that... I would make it crystal clear early on that she needs to keep her trap shut.

That is an adorable beauty mark!!!
LO has a hemangioma on her right side right above her nipple. My SIL commented (at 3 months old!!!) that she can totally have that removed cause no girl wants that.
I was speechless and just said something about how the doctor said it would fade and shrink on its own.

I have a birthmark on my chest that is very visible when I wear v-neck shirts (which is most days!). I can't imagine anyone telling me to cover it with a tattoo!
Hopefully that's the last time your daughter's beauty mark comes up in a negative way. She's adorable!
