So I keep seeing those "20 things only 90's kids will understand" type BuzzFeed articles, and one thing that keep popping up is "using a paper bag to cover your schoolbooks'
So my burning question is....What do kids use to cover their books now?!?

I don't think kids have as many textbooks as they used to. In our district, kids get ipads with digital books and then there's a classroom set of actual textbooks.

I used to love making book covers!! It’ll be so weird if my kids have all digital books. I like reading novels on my kindle but still prefer real paper books for anything instructional where I want to flip back and forth.

I had lots of textbooks that were never covered. A few teachers along the way required it but most didn’t so i can never relate to that item!

Haha, yes, I think it's just that they don't have actual hard copies of books to cover any more - everything is digital.

yep - its digital or the textbooks are shared and stay at school

Even when I started teaching 11 years ago....50% or less of my HS kids covered their books. And that was well before the age of digital books!!
I loved covering my books in middle school & highschool. I was always proud of my skills when compared to the lame book sock people!
and it was fun to doodle on them!
