I want to get an IUD birth control and i have PCOS. I've read that estrogen birth control pills can help with pcos symptoms, but i don't think IUDs have estrogen. I keep googling and I'm not finding good answers. Does anyone with pcos use IUDs?

Hormonal IUDs such as Mirena and Skyla only contain levonorgestrel, which is a progestin.

Yeah IUDs are mostly progesterone. There are different doses of it based on the brand or type and there is the copper which is without hormones but cause heavier period. This OBGYN explains it in this video...somewhere in the middle of it.
I've been told by my friends with PCOS friends that the pill is the best thing that helps it.
