@FliegepilzHut: my allergist tested for those. with my luck i'm just one of those lucky people with a ton of symptoms and no diagnosis or plan so far the only thing that has had any impact on the non-food allergy symptoms has been steroids

@Amorini: Just wanted to say a quick good luck with your OBGYN appointment today. Really hoping that everything is resolving at this point for you!
@agold: So glad you are moving ahead and can get your FET scheduled! So exciting!!
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@jaguar: Oh no. I'm so so sorry to hear this. Hugs to you, dear. I'm so sorry.
@endymion4: After I POAS and got negative, it took me about 30 minutes to fully process it, then I was a weepy mess for about 3 hours. My doctor called probably a hour after that. And I went home early from work. I wouldn't have been able to handle days and days of multiple negative pregnancy tests leading up to my blood test. But keep us updated whether or not you do test!!
@Aqualov: Oh dear.. you do have a lot going on. But this IVF try could just do the trick for you. I think it is definitely worth a try for your own peace of mind. Best of luck! Keep us updated.
@Amorini: How did your appointment go? I hope you got some answers and good news.
@GreenThumb: Thank you! My FET is scheduled for December 4th. I'm excited to get this on the books.

@FliegepilzHut: Aw, thanks! Enjoy that little guy and what's left of mat. leave! Best wishes for a smooth transition. Good thing there are all the holidays coming up...
@endymion4: @GreenThumb: @agold: Thanks for your thoughts! The appointment with my OBGYN went well and I am feeling a lot less stressed. The ovaries are reduced in size from last week and the hemoraggic cyst is shrinking, too. Good blood flow to both ovaries. I had quite a bit of fluid in my abdominal cavity (had none on previous visits) and he thinks that is because all the cysts from two weeks ago are resolvimg and pushed out their fluids. That explains the bloating. The ovary pain is not fully understood whether it was temporarily twisting/untwisting or multiple cysts rupturing over and over. Anyway, he was thorough and took time to talk with me (even listening while I emoted about this whole ordeal!). So.... not in the clear yet, but things are trending in the right direction.
pear / 1986 posts
@Amorini: I am so glad to hear this update from you. I hope that everything continues to go down the right path, the pain is resolved, and you are able to move onto the next steps soon!
@agold: Wow - Dec is just around the corner! Have you been on BCPs ? My FETs seem to take so long to come because I was on BCPs for a whole month before even starting the hormone support. Glad yours in coming up so soon!
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@Amorini: I'm so glad to hear that your doctor was thorough and put you at a little more ease. This is still such an ordeal and I'm so sorry you are going through it. Stay strong. This will hopefully be over sooner rather than later.
@GreenThumb: I am just going to be starting BC tonight. I think I stay on it until the 13th, which is when my next appointment is. The stim meds start the 17th. And that's all I know! When is your FET scheduled for again?
pear / 1986 posts
@agold: That's awesome that you only have to be on BCPs for a couple of weeks! Time will fly! I'm going to be doing a fresh cycle upcoming in December, but I've done 4 FETs in the past.
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@GreenThumb: Oh wow! A fresh cycle. That is exciting. It seems like every protocol is so different. I have had to stop comparing myself to every one else throughout this whole ordeal. I'm really hoping my FET does the trick. Otherwise I'm already planning out my second round of IVF and I really can't start it until April. Which is such a bummer for me. So I'm focusing on December and keeping my fingers crossed!

@dookie32: Hi there. How are you doing? Is your FET still scheduled for the next week?
@endymion4: How are you holding in there? You are halfway through your TWW, right?
@Hopingforbaby: How are you doing as you are gearing up for your FET? It's coming up, right?
@NorthStar: Did you end up needing to stim past Saturday and purchase more meds? Hopefully not!
apricot / 365 posts
@Amorini: so glad things are moving along in the right direction--you must be so relieved after all of that!!
@agold: feeling a little discouraged, to be honest. I'm completely without symptoms (all 4 of my pregnancies-DD and 3 m/cs, i've had symptoms very early and just knew). Just ready to find out one way or another so we can either take one small breath of relief or start planning whether we want to try again!
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@endymion4: I'm so sorry you are feeling discouraged. Try to keep your spirits up. No sense in worrying at this point because it won't help anything. Can you plan some stuff to keep you distracted for the next few days? When is your beta?
pear / 1881 posts
@agold: Actually I'm still stimming and will possibly run out this upcoming Saturday (don't worry, I'm having a hard time keeping up with this thread too!). In addition to upping my follistim dosage, they have also increased my menopur from 75iu to 150iu in the mornings. I had an ultrasound this morning and had 10 follicles, 4 of which were just over 9mm. Still have a ways to go, but slow and steady is good, right? my stomach is sure showing lots of bruising from all of the injections!
@Amorini: I'm SO glad to read this and feeling so relieved for you! What a nightmare, but hopefully, the end of this debacle is in sight and you can move forward for your transfer soon.

@agold: Hey there! Still lurking and keeping up with everyone :). My FET is Monday- stopped my Lupron tonight and then starting Endrometrin & the PIO shots tomorrow :(. Really just ready to be done with all the drugs and everything at this point- I feel so gross! As of Friday my lining and estrogen levels were good so I'm optimistic about the transfer. Hoping it's going to be earlier in the day so my husband and I can use the rest of the day to go and see a movie while my son is at day care. I was just told I need to be a couch potato- no bed rest.
So excited for you to be starting prep for your FET! I know it was so annoying when there was that break where you weren't doing anything for a while.
@amorini: Glad things are starting to improve. You are a rock star :)! I really feel for you- so frustrating having to wait for your body to cooperate.
@NorthStar: How are you feeling so far? If you need any more Menopur I actually have some leftover from my cycle. I wouldn't mind sending it to you if you need it. I think I have 6 vials?
@endymion4: Fingers crossed for you! I'm dreading the 2ww- nothing worse than feeling like everything is out of your control. With your history of MCs- do you feel like I do where a positive pregnancy test won't even be that much of a relief? Not to be a Debbie Downer but I suspect even if I do get a positive I won't feel good about the pregnancy for a really long time. It's just how it is when you've gotten your hopes up before and been disappointed.
pear / 1881 posts
@dookie32: oh my gosh. I would totally take you up on the offer, but it would need to get here by tomorrow so I can use it Friday morning. I'm guessing that isn't possible? Thank you so much for the offer!!
apricot / 365 posts
@agold: Oh, I'm plenty distracted for the most part, but the steroids are keeping me up a bit at night, so my mind wanders
@dookie32: Wishing you so much luck and sticky thoughts for Monday!!!
Yes. On the off chance it's positive, which instinct is strongly saying not this time, I will not feel at ease until we're a few u/s in. I've been pregnant too many times
kiwi / 538 posts
@NorthStar: I brought it with me to my office today (it's actually 5 vials not 6) so I can overnight it if you want to reimburse me later. No idea how much the meds cost vs how much it would cost to mail (I'm in IL) but if it's worth it I can totally send it. Let me know!
pear / 1881 posts
@dookie32: I'll PM you and I can totally reimburse you! I live in MN, so it isn't too far
pear / 1881 posts
@dookie32: Just walled you, so if it didn't work, let me know. I am not sure if you get notifications or not.
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@NorthStar: Oh gosh. I'm finding it so hard to keep track of where every one is at with all this! Slow and steady is absolutely great. I'm glad things are moving along well for you. I hope the bruising slows down and that you don't have to spend too much more on meds. Do you have an estimated ER date?
@dookie32: It's so great to hear that you are feeling optimistic about the FET. You can't hope for much more than great lining and estrogen levels, right? Your day planned for following the FET sounds perfect. I hope it works out as planned for you. And seriously... you are an absolute angel to share your menopur with NorthStar.
@endymion4: I'm so glad you are keeping distracted. Try to stay positive!! Sorry about the steroids keeping you up. I remember the steroid pills being the worst tasting pills I'd ever taken in my life.
pear / 1881 posts
@agold: it is so hard, isn't it? I have been extremely busy at work and then driving back and forth to RE appointments every other day (2.5 hours each way), leaves me little time for being on here. But, I'm thinking of all of you!
No date yet for ER. My guess would be Monday or Tuesday, but my book says Wednesday. Obviously depends on how I respond to everything..
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@NorthStar: Yep, so many girls at so many different phases of this IF journey. I forgot you have to drive so far to your RE appointments. Is is 2.5 hours because of traffic, or just plain distance? You are truly amazing for all the effort. At least this phase will be done for you next week. It will come up quick!
pear / 1881 posts
@agold: mostly distance..I have to deal with traffic for the last 20 minutes or so.
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@NorthStar: At least its mostly distance. But traffic at the end of a trip is the worst. I have to travel a little for work sometimes and the last 4 miles of my trip take the most time due to traffic. Do you listen to books on tape? I love those.
pear / 1881 posts
@agold: I've been doing podcasts to pass the time. The traffic stresses me out since I end up getting to the RE 5 minutes prior to my appointment!
apricot / 365 posts
@agold: Thank you! they are the WORST--leave such an awful taste. I usually try to have a snack ready immediately after to help
@NorthStar: Such a long commute! thank goodness for the podcasts!

@endymion4: Yes, prednisone tastes terrible and makes me crave sweets!

Lots to catch up on! Thanks for your thoughts, everyone. Feeling a bit better each day, but still have times that I feel crampy/bloated and need the hot water bottle on my belly... I have no idea where I am in my cycle. Based on pre-IVF cycles, AF should come early next week but who knows. I'll probably wait until my December AF to start the BCPs for FET. I hate MORE waiting but I'm just not completely out of the woods yet.
@endymion4: How are you holding up? I have not been through multiple m/cs but I'm sure that really colors the whole tww. Like others have said, it's out of your hands at this point ... Beta is Monday, right? I would say 'stay strong' but it sounds like you already are! Thinking of you!
@NorthStar: You are getting close! I know the days probably seem to drag ... and I certainly understand the whole stress about needing to buy more meds! I hope things are steadily progressing and you are feeling good.
@agold: So exciting that you have a FET date. Fingers crossed that this does it!
@dookie32: Your FET is so soon! GL with everything on Monday! I'll be thinking of you!
@AmeliaBedilia: How are things going? Where are you at in your 2ww? (Sorry I feel so behind!)
@jaguar: Thinking of you, if you are still reading along. Hoping you are getting all of the love and support in the world right now.
apricot / 365 posts
@Amorini: So glad you're starting to feel better! and I think not a bad idea to give your body extra time to be optimal for transfer. If this cycle didn't work and if we decide to try again, i may want to wait until spring or summer (even though the other part of me will want to try ASAP :p).
nectarine / 2192 posts
@Amorini: 12DPO. Usually I have a 13 day LP on meds, so AF due Tuesday. I get so anxious right before worrying if it will come.

@agold: My RE's office is 1.5 hours in good traffic, 2.5, bumper to bumper during rush hour. I like the podcast idea. I may have to steal it.
pear / 1881 posts
@dookie32: I got the meds, so thank you. you are an angel! Good luck on Monday - we will all be thinking of you!
@Amorini: I'm glad that you are feeling a bit better! How frustrating it must be though, to not have an idea of when you will be able to proceed with everything...
@AmeliaBedilia: I'm praying SO hard for you that this works!! Only a few more days..
Had another ultrasound this morning - I think she said there were 6 measurable follicles, all close to 11mm or 12mm (they go so fast that it's hard to catch everything they say). There were also probably 6-8 slightly smaller ones. I'm going back Saturday and will hold steady with the same med dosages, unless they estradiol levels are off. Slowly getting there!
nectarine / 2192 posts
@NorthStar: glad you got your meds. Thanks for the prayers. Sending prayers your way too!

@Aqualov: The podcasts get me through during the long drives. Here are a few that I love and would suggest:
*Beat Infertility (seriously - an amazing podcast about different diagnoses, things you can do, success stories and those in the process. The group of women on their private facebook group is so supportive too).
*Death, Sex, Money
*Criminal
*This American Life

@NorthStar: Something that is laugh out loud funny is a podcast called Mortified (adults reading their teen diaries out loud--it's so awkward and hilarious)
pear / 1881 posts
@endymion4: I actually have that one on my list too (just didn't add it above)! It cracks me up
apricot / 365 posts
@NorthStar: we have a few episodes of Mortified and a book called People I want to Punch in the Face ready for some laughs if things don't go well this cycle
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@Amorini: I have also lost track of my CDs since I started IVF. I would probably wait for the December AF to gear up for FET too. There is no sense in rushing it when your body still doesn't feel right. December is coming up so fast and you can enjoy Thanksgiving without worrying about shots and such. That's a good deal given the circumstances.
@endymion4: I'm still really hoping this cycle is it for you! If my Dec FET doesn't work, I will also be waiting until spring or early summer to do another IVF. Please remind me how many embryos you transferred and if you have any frozens left.
@AmeliaBedilia: Thinking of you and sending you my best wishes!
@Aqualov: You poor thing with your long drive, also. I'm so sorry. You are such a warrior for committing to all of this. How are you doing? On any meds right now?
@NorthStar: It sounds like you listen to the most awesome podcasts ever! I'd hate to get out of the car.
apricot / 365 posts
@agold: Thanks! We are only ever going to do a single transfer. we have 3 frozen
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@endymion4: Are you doing single transfers because you definitely don't want twins? I'm still so very much on the fence about doing one or two embryo transfer on Dec 4th. I'm extremely tired of TTC and I want this phase in my life over with.
