@PurplePumps: lol! so funny! Totally agree when it's right in front of me. That is the hardest. When the Italian beef sandwiches came for lunch, I only grabbed the meat and veggies. No chips or bun, but did grab a cookie!
If that study your Dh mentioned was correct, my daughter would love peanut butter and chocolate. She likes neither

@NorthStar: Oh yes, I can resist chips and bread.. but cookie? no way!
Minor cramping is normal right now too, right? Not painful at all, but just strong enough to notice it.
pear / 1881 posts
@PurplePumps: yes, that is totally normal. my girlfriend had period like cramping for weeks after her BFP and she is currently 23 weeks.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@NorthStar: Crap! I'm so sorry, I just went to pack up the Endometrin and double check it and it's not a full box. I only had 9 inserts left in there. I can still send you those if you want, especially if it saves you from having to buy a full box if you only needed a few more. Let me know.
pear / 1881 posts
@PurplePumps: It's ok! I don't know if it's worth sending? Do you have any friends or anyone local that could benefit (or would your clinic take them)? Just not sure how much they are to ship..
apricot / 365 posts
@NorthStar: I might have extra, but won't be sure until we meet with our new RE again to get a firmer plan (we won't start with her until fall, but want to have all the details in place by meeting with her in the next few weeks). I'm about 90% sure she only does PIO, but want to double check before we get rid of them. when do you need them?

Ugh, just started antibiotics yesterday for the FET and I'm having the same allergic reaction to the ampicillin as I did to the doxycycline even though they are a different class of drugs!! Have a call into the RE to see what to do. I never did antibiotics with my old REs for FETs, so maybe I can skip it this time? So annoyed.
pear / 1881 posts
@endymion4: I don't need them until end of May. I have just over one box and if I have to buy more, it's not a huge deal ️

My E2 this morning was 606 and I now have 8 (!Holy shit, seriously- my AFC was only 5!!) follicles. One is very dominant (18), the other 7 (again, WTF!?) are in a nice group (12.5, 12, 11.5, 11, 9.5x2, 8). We're going to try and 'sacrifice' my lead follicle and go for the group. My docs say that sometimes when they try this women will ovulate on their own and it doesn't work, but she thinks it's our best shot, especially since we need to do an mTESE so we want a decent amount of eggs to make that worthwhile. Unfortunately it has to be done the day before, so we have no idea if my follicles have eggs before DH has his awful surgery. I've got daily appointments for US and blood, and they'll test my progesterone as well as my E2 to make sure I don't ovulate, or try and catch whatever's mature if I do and they catch it early enough. I didn't know this was even a possibility, so now I'm super nervous!!

@Aqualov: that is so amazing!! I am crossing all fingers and toes that everything goes well! Are you doing a fresh or frozen transfer if you get that far?? Would they be able to freeze dhs sleep if the worst happens and you ovulate?? You have me on pins and needles, so I cannot imagine how you feel, but know we are ALL rooting for you!!
cherry / 107 posts
@NorthStar: Thanks:) We need all the luck we can get. Maybe I've been saving it up for the last 3 years lol? We'll do a fresh if it gets that far. We wouldn't do DH's surgery if we knew I had ovulated/was ovulating thru the drugs on my own. If it somehow happened between trigger and ER they could freeze any sperm found (I'm assuming that was an autocorrect lol), but testicular sperm freezes very poorly so if we used it in another cycle we would expect very poor fertilization results. It's more likely we'd need to freeze my eggs if we find that DH doesn't have any sperm- his odds are 20-30% of finding any

@Aqualov: great numbers!! will keep my fingers crossed that the timing all works as it should!!!

@endymion4: Thanks:)
Still looking good here. My group of follicles are growing together and my big one slowed down. My E2 is rising and P4 (progesterone) is low. My RE is confident enough that she actually cancelled my scan/bloods for tomorrow and wants me to just come in Tuesday instead.
pear / 1986 posts
@Aqualov: Fantastic news! I'm so glad that this cycle is totally different than the last one for you!! Hoping for a great update on Tuesday.
AFM: I'm looking forward to my FET on Wednesday! Can't believe it is finally here. After my allergic reaction to the antibiotics yesterday, I was told to stop taking them and I'll just do one dose of erythromycin on Tuesday night. Hoping that we have two great looking embryos that come out of the freeze with no trouble. Feeling positive!

@Aqualov: yay! great news!
@GreenThumb: woo hoo! just a couple days to go!

@Aqualov: This is so great!
@GreenThumb: So so exciting! I can't wait for you to transfer. What are the a/bs for?
pear / 1986 posts
@endymion4: Thanks!! Yay!
@jaguar: Thank you! So glad all is well with you!! I guess they have the antibiotics as a standard part of the protocol for FETs at this RE. I've never taken them before with my other frozen transfers. I had no idea I was allergic!
pear / 1881 posts
@GreenThumb: oh my gosh, I'm so excited for you and what is to come on Wednesday! Are you planning on transferring one or two? I wasn't sure since it sounded like they are defrosting two? I wish you all the best
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@Aqualov: That's a great update! Hope everything continues to progress and you're back with another wonderful update tomorrow.
@GreenThumb: 2 more days! Wed will be here soon! FX!

@NorthStar: Thank you!! We are so excited, and yes, we decided to transfer two!
@PurplePumps: Your success has given me so much hope for mine! Just two more days...

STILL waiting on the beta results from Friday! They didn't process it as STAT even though the orders said stat. grrr.
But I just got back from the u/s and there's a little sak there, and a yolk visible. I can't make out the yolk... just the little lines? But I think it measured about 0.7 cm and I think it calculated 5w2d. Looks like we got a singleton. This is still so surreal.......
pear / 1881 posts
@PurplePumps: OMG, yay! You are still very, very early, but to at least see something is amazing! My heart soars for you!
apricot / 365 posts
wwyd? i'm 7dp5dt. I swore i wasn't going to test, BUT our beta is super late (next Monday, 13dpt) and this test was just sitting in our bathroom staring at me. Line is super, SUPER faint. Would you tell RE that you tested and hope beta moves up? even if it's just a frosty that tried to implant but didn't make it and ends up being negative, would those beta numbers be helpful to our next RE? or would you just wait until Monday? (hubby thinks line is too light and we should just wait until Monday). the transfers before this didn't even get this far, so even if it turns out to not be a viable pregnancy, it's something.
pear / 1881 posts
@endymion4: oh my gosh! My motto always is, it doesn't hurt to ask. Yes, it is super early, but there is definitely a line there! The worst they can say is no? Monday is FOREVER away! I would go nuts waiting..i would totally call and see what they say.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@endymion4: SQUEE!!!! Always ask. x Or just go to a GP for a sneaky one?
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@endymion4: A line is a line! I would definitely ask for one asap,as well as the follow up 2 days later to see if it's doubling.

Holy cow ladies!! The incredible news just keeps piling on! I had seen that my insurance processed the IVF cycle and FET for out of network (cause the clinic was new and was still trying to workout the paperwork with insurance) so I had that whole deductible to pay plus the coverage was much less so I was going to owe almost 5k. My doctor had told me they were supposed to still give us in network benefits, so I was expecting to pay around 2k and just went out to make the call prepared for a fight. But... in less than 30 seconds, the call was done, and they said they were just writing off the whole balance!

@PurplePumps: whoa! that is beyond amazing! things are finally going your way
apricot / 365 posts
@NorthStar: @jaguar: @PurplePumps: thanks ladies! the earliest they'll do is friday, so i'm going to let DH decide if he wants to wait until Monday (we have a lot going on this weekend and i think possibly have just 1 beta number and not knowing which way it's going may be stressful for him :/). the transfers have been much harder on him mentally than for me.
@PurplePumps: great news!!!
pear / 1986 posts
@endymion4: OMG, I've got everything crossed for you! I'm glad they are willing to do your beta on Friday if you choose, but could totally understand waiting, too.
@PurplePumps: Fantastic news!
I'm all scheduled for a noon transfer tomorrow. They didn't schedule my appointment until this morning, so I was going crazy, but feel better now.

@GreenThumb: thank you! i hope it's our time, but am happy with our plan to move forward if it's not.
will be thinking about you tomorrow and sending so many good thoughts your way. Do you have your post transfer R&R planned?

So much activity here! And exciting news upon exciting news!
@endymion4: Just sending you all of the baby dust in the world and tons of optimism about that thin, faint line!
@PurplePumps: So excited for your first u/s! Whoa, and bonus that insurance is working with you this time.
@Aqualov: Looking good! So glad for you that this cycle is radically different than the last one. Hope that all of the good news continues!
@GreenThumb: Sending tons of good wishes for a great transfer tomorrow! Yay for two embies! Hope this is your time!
@AmeliaBedelia: Having a crazy last two weeks with work, but you are on mind and on my list to email!
AFM, I finally did my taxes (soooo late, but still in time!). We got preggo, bought a house, and moved all in the last few months so that pesky task of doing my taxes really was not the only thing I could think about! Anyway, we were all of out pocket for IVF and so I itemized our medical expenses, including all of the meds, labs, acupuncture, therapy, and mileage/hotel/meals related to treatments ... plus we had some non-IVF itemizable costs (dental, charity etc.). It amounted to almost $40K. Claiming all of that dropped us from a 25% to a 15% tax bracket and, instead of owing a few dollars, we are getting back a few thousand from the Feds and a few thousand from the state. Phew, I'm relieved to see even a fraction of that money back... And of course I was thinking we should hoard it all for the baby and maternity leave, but then DH reminded me of some home improvements that we have to take care of! Easy come, easy go...

@endymion4: Sending so much and
your way!
@Amorini: Thank you so much for the well wishes!
@PurplePumps: We ended up at MGH. I'm relatively happy, although I wouldn't mind a little bit more of a personal touch. I really like the level of access and communication it sounds like you have with your RE.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@GreenThumb: Cool. I'd looked into them for a little too since they are really highly rated in MA, but I couldn't even consider it cause the commute into Boston for monitoring would have been awful! I did have go to there one Sunday for monitoring and I could not believe how many people were there!
pear / 1986 posts
@PurplePumps: I know, luckily I'm close enough to Danvers to go their office there for everything other than ER and transfers!
