@endymion4: Stop the Lovenox! Baby (babies?) has/have implanted, and I think you need to focus on that now, and the thinners will just make bleeding more likely. xx

@GreenThumb: Yeah.. I have a feeling there is more than one in there. :o

@jaguar: @agold: Yup, me too! Luckily we don't have too long to wait to find out. We're gonna need a bigger car !

@GreenThumb: Yay!! guessing twins, too!
@jaguar: it's been stopped! how long for it to leave my system?

@endymion4: How you doing today? Has the madness (bleeding) stopped yet?

@endymion4: I've been thinking of you and hoping you are getting some relief..

@PurplePumps: nope. still going strong but i'm mentally okay. i know this is going to go however it's going to go, so just one day at a time!
@NorthStar: thank you!

@endymion4: I hear that... it is what it is has kinda been my mantra too. Prepare for the worse, hope for the best type thing. Still holding out hope for you!

@endymion4: I'm sorry to hear about the continued bleeding. Does this mean you will likely head in for another scan on Friday?

Ugh, just a little vent... I called my RE yesterday to see if I could do 2 PIO per day rather than 2 endometrin and 1 PIO because this would save a huge amount of money. The nurse said she would send an email to the RE and get back to me today. Well, I called at 2 pm and left a message about this reiterating that I need to reorder my meds... now it is 4 pm and they haven't gotten back to me! So annoyed! I feel like they don't like to deal with anything out of their very specific protocol. Come on people, this shouldn't take two days to figure out... yes or no is all I need!!
ETA: I think they leave at 4:30, so I doubt I am getting an answer today!
@PurplePumps: What are you on for progesterone support at this point? Just curious
apricot / 365 posts
@PurplePumps: thank you!
@GreenThumb: that's the plan!
that is so frustrating that you haven't heard back yet!!

@GreenThumb: Just Crinone twice a day. My RE also added oral progesterone twice a day too cause of the light bleeding just to supplement since he said the bleeding could interfere with the absorption. He also gave me prescription for PIO (that I never used) for if the bleeding got heavy to use also.
apricot / 365 posts
@PurplePumps: hmmm...i asked my nurse about absorption while bleeding bc it's so heavy and she said it shouldn't be a problem
pear / 1986 posts
@endymion4: @PurplePumps: Thanks ladies... I feel like they are just ignoring me which actually makes me kinda mad
.
apricot / 365 posts
@GreenThumb: that would really tick me off. especially because everything about this process is time sensitive
pear / 1986 posts
@endymion4: Exactly! I just called back and apparently they are still checking with the RE... and they definitely think I am crazy for "wanting" 2 PIO shots a day! Should get an answer today or tomorrow at the latest. Just don't understand why this would take over 24 hours to figure out.
apricot / 365 posts
@GreenThumb: if you want to stick yourself twice a day, why should they care as long as you're getting the right dose of meds???
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@endymion4: That's odd. I dunno, maybe my RE is super cautious. Is there any way to know how much progesterone actually makes it to the uterus since it can't be checked via blood work?
@GreenThumb: I definitely think you're crazy for wanting to stick yourself twice a day! I would be begging for a suppository over a needle! haha
pear / 1986 posts
@PurplePumps: I probably am a little crazy! But, at this point, who knows how many of those PIO shots DH has done - he's an expert - and I don't have to do anything but stand there. And honestly, the Lovenox is the worst injection I've ever had to deal with, and I'm on that for the long haul, plus 6 weeks postpartum. I can take 8+ more weeks of PIO.
apricot / 365 posts
@PurplePumps: i don't think there is a way to know unless it's PIO?. at this point, though, i'm not sure adding will help anything?
apricot / 365 posts
@GreenThumb: i wasn't going to call you out on your crazy, but since @purplepumps did...;)
pear / 1986 posts
@endymion4: @PurplePumps: Well, turns out I don't have to do 2 shots a day (cue sigh of relief, honestly). They are calling in Prometrium (well, generic) instead, so it will still be inserts for me! You guys, this means $30 instead of almost $1,000!
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@GreenThumb: That's what I'm taking orally. GEEZ! If they can usee that, why do they go to endomitrim or crinone first at such a higher price?!
pear / 1986 posts
@PurplePumps: Exactly! DH and I were just having this discussion... they (RE clinics) just don't care? I mean, I'm sure there is something "better" about those, but I know my insurance sees those both as specialty/expensive drugs for IF and denies, denies, denies, whereas Prometrium, even non-generic, must be categorized differently, so the insurance just charges a small copay. The nurses acted like no one had ever asked if there were any cheaper alternatives! OK, rant over.

@endymion4: I check in every couple of days and just got caught up. I'm sorry you're having such a scary time with the bleeding but seeing a sac is a great first step. I pray your scan tomorrow goes well.
@GreenThumb: Congrats!!! Great beta! Grow baby(ies?) grow! And yes, you were nuts for wanting PIO twice a day But I'm glad that the prometrium worked out for you!
apricot / 365 posts
@GreenThumb: i am so unresearched on the meds they called in endometrin, so that's what i got!
@SweetiePie: Thank you!
pear / 1986 posts
@endymion4: Me, too, initially. But after a bit of sticker shock I decided to check on what my insurance would actually cover.
@SweetiePie: Thank you!

Hi everyone! I'm about to start an IVF cycle with ICSI and PGS. (I've been trying for ~18 months for a second child. I've had a MMC and 2 CPs, plus a variety of other procedures: HSG, septum removal, synthyroid pills, folate pills). My husband and I are both in our mid-30s. I have normal egg quantity but perhaps not great quality?
I'll be starting with Follistim, Menopur, Dexamrthasone, and Omnitrope.

The worry continues. Still measuring small, now 6 days behind (instead of 5 last week). Heart rate at 143, but CRL still only 8mm.
pear / 1986 posts
@PurplePumps: Ugh, I'm sorry! DD supposedly measured small in the beginning, too. I was terrified, but ultimately, I feel like they have a really hard time getting accurate measurements early on. A great strong heart rate is such a good sign for you, though, so I'm inclined to think they just didn't get a good measurement. Do you have another u/s scheduled?
