@MissKabers: Welcome! As a newbie to this group, I can definitely say it's super supportive! You have found the right place!
AFM, Had my baseline scan yesterday and everything looked good! Yay! That was definitely an answer to prayer! I officially start stims tomorrow! I go back for a check in on the 5th! Praying I respond well to the meds!

@MissKabers Welcome. I have a few friends who have divided pregnancies among the two women and I think that is wonderful! What an amazing experience to share that I will never be able to with my DH. Feel free to join in and ask away and good luck to you and your wife. IVF is a tough tough road but the end result is worth every heartache! I'm trying for my 2nd right now and still believe that.
@Northstar your u/s is today right? anxious to hear the results. Rooting for you and your bean!
@Lovehope so glad your E2 went up. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for the best for retrieval this weekend.
@winnie13 great news re: baseline. You are on your way....

@Mrs. Pajamas: Yes, in an hour! I feel like I'm going to throw up because I'm so nervous! I have no preg symptoms, so I can't blame it on that..

@Northstar I SO remember that feeling since we conceived DD right after a MMC. I hope DH is with you. I looked away from the monitor and squeezed DH's hand really tight until my RE said "oh there's the heartbeat". Then DH and I both cried tears of relief. You'll be fine. We'll be here for you no matter what!

@Mrs. Pajamas: Yes, DH is definitely coming with and we have lunch planned for afterwards. At least I will know soon enough!

@Northstar: perfect! So glad he'll be there for you no matter what. Isn't it also nice to know that regardless of the outcome you can snuggle your sweet LO tonight? My DD is the reason I don't lose it every day going through this. I feel so thankful for her and her ridiculous toddler antics!

@NorthStar: sending prayers for a great scan!
AFM, egg retrieval went better than expected for once. We got 8 eggs. Only 5 were mature (this surprised me since we had 5 follicles 20-24, a 19, and a 17. All 5 fertilized. My doc and embryologist decided to freeze at day 1. I don't completely understand, but it has to do with banking. We are going to do a similar protocol in early August so I can get it in before my new job starts.
The house is slowly coming along and getting settled. DH is off this week so has been doing lots of farming stuff. I've been working on unpacking and getting things done at the old house so we can close in 3 weeks. I'm back to work at my temporary job next week for a month, then off for round 4 of IVF, then I start the new job.

@AmeliaBedilia: @Mrs. Pajamas: Thank you for the good wishes! One baby (whew!), heartbeat of 142 and measuring 6 weeks, 6 days. I forgot to ask about my due date, but I'm sure my RE will call me later once she gets the scans (had the ultrasound done locally).

@AmeliaBedilia: Congrats on the great retrieval and fertilization report! I have heard of one other person doing a freeze on day 1, but I don't remember the outcome, unfortunately. Your next few months will be busy, but it sounds like you have a great plan in place and not working during your next cycle will make it go so much easier.

@Northstar Huge congrats! what a relief! My heart was pounding as I opened this page.

My retrieval is scheduled for Sunday! I have like 4/5 solid follicles, a bit on the low side but we will be moving forward with IVF. I'm hoping it all works out.
Have a wonderful weekend ladies!

@AmeliaBedilia: Hooray for a great retrieval and top fertilization results! I'm glad everything seems like it will fall into line for IVF #4! Good luck with the rest of your move-in.
@NorthStar: Oh yay!!!! So glad your little (singleton!) bean is doing so well!
@LoveHope: So glad to hear that your cycle is moving forward! IVF is nothing if not dramatic!!! Wishing you the best as you head into ER this weekend.

Hey ladies! Hope you are all enjoying the 4th of July weekend!
I had my ER yesterday and they retrieved 7 eggs. Out of those 7, 5 were fertilized. Let's hope for some great news tomorrow
The ER went well. I did have cramps afterward but it wasn't too bad.

Sorry I've been a little MIA! Lots of trips and a move!
@NorthStar: CONGRATULATIONS on your little bean!
@AmeliaBedilia: Wonderful news on your retrial and fert report. Everything crossed for you! You have so much on your plate.
@Winnie13: how are stims going?
@LoveHope: Yay!! Glad the retrieval and fert went well.
@Janny: Congrats, great numbers!
@Mrs. Pajamas: What is your timeline for PGD'ing your frosties? Sorry if you said that and I missed it.
As for me...I finally pulled the trigger. I told my IVF coordinator we're going for a retrieval. Hoping they can fast track me so that I don't have to wait many cycles to get started. My hope (though it might be ambitious) is to stim and retrieve in August and transfer in September. I have a really hard time remembering what I had to do in preparation last time. And I'm hoping there's not as much this time! I almost feel like a noob all over again.
My caveat with my husband is that I'm only doing one retrieval. I just don't think I have it in me to do it over and over. If we don't get a good embryo (PGD) from that, then we're done. I'll just count our blessings that we have one beautiful child from IVF and that's all that's meant to be.

@lovehope- great news , good luck .
@sweetiepie- good luck and thanks .
Ladies I started bleeding and went to ER. They took HCG and it wa 13000 and found gestational sac for 5 weeks . Iam diagnosed witg threatened abortion , just now came back . Iam really worried and praying God that this embie should stick . Just lying down and praying .
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@Janny: *hugs* I had several episodes of bleeding in this pregnancy and was also diagnosed with threatened miscarriage. That HCG and a sac is a good sign. How far along are you? Thinking of you.
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@Janny: I'm so sorry you are bleeding. After my frozen embryo transfer, I bled the entire way through my first trimester. It was horrible and I'm so sorry you are experiencing this. I hope it all turns out okay. I went on bed rest for a month and the baby's size caught up to her age. But I still continued to bleed after bed rest. By I do believe that rest saves baby. So try to get all the rest that you can.
@SweetiePie: I'm so happy you are going to do an egg retrieval. I hope that you can get going on the schedule that you want. I will only do one retrieval after I have this baby when I'm trying for number 2. Ivf (and ttc, in general) is so exhausting. I'm hoping I will be content with my one girl if it ends up that she is all I will have. I'm still praying all day every day that she gets here safely and healthy!

@jaguar that's so kind of you .the u/s revealed gestational sac measuring 5 week 1 day and yolk sac. There is no fetal pole which worries me . When did your bleed stop?
pea / 10 posts
@agold- thanks a lot . That's so reassuring and it Kaye's me feel better . I will do bed rest and see how this goes
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@Janny: I didn't see the fetal pole until my ultrasound at 6w4d. At the ultrasound the week prior, there was just a sac. I think you are way too early to see the fetal pole.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@Janny: I was 5w4d with the first bleed and thought it was all over. So much blood. We only just saw a foetal pole & the heart beat had just started. So if your dates measure up, there's still hope. Rest, like @agold: suggested! I had several other bleeding episodes at 8w and 10w as well, and somehow baby held on. xx
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@SweetiePie: hope this next one does the trick! We won't be doing any more fresh rounds, and it's a really hard decision to make. *hugs*
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@agold: We do; we have 6 more frozen at day 4, so I don't expect them all to do well - but we'll use them and see. That's it though.. just what's left. x

@Janny: I'm so sorry you're having bleeding! I am keeping you in my prayers! Hoping you can get lots of rest!
@SweetiePie: Wishing you all the best as you move forward! Praying for the best timing for you and your family!
AFM, I just had my first monitoring apt. after 4 days on stims. I have 14 total, all ranging between 5-7mm. Does that sound normal? I'll get the call this afternoon regarding my med dose for the next 3 days. I go back in Fri to hopefully schedule retrieval. Hoping I have some good growth by then and I get a few more follows to catch up!

I hope everyone had a nice relaxing weekend.
@Janny I'm hoping everything is resolved and you are able to rest-what a scary experience! Let us know how things go for sure.
@LoveHope great news on your retrieval...hope to hear that all 5 are going strong.
@Winnie13 sounds like things are going great! Very excited for you. I forget, is this your first stim cycle?
@SweetiePie exciting that you are ready to get going. Since you were asking for a reminder on schedule, I can tell you what the timeline is like at my clinic. A frozen cycle takes about 8 weeks if you count from when you get your period, so if you do retrieval in August and freeze all for the PGD you probably won't be able to do transfer until October.
@Northstar hope you are still feeling good and glowing from your good u/s. I'm so so happy for you and this new journey
We have our consult with the genetic testing lab this morning. We have to do that first before officially signing off on PGD with my clinic. It makes me crazy that most of the cost is actually for the thawing/re-freezing and not for the testing! We are still planning on a transfer in late August/September depending on when my next cycle starts. Really hoping some of our 5 remaining frosties are good but if not we'll do a fresh cycle for sure. The $$$ is really rough but it still feels like the only thing we can do and it's just money, right? Ugh.

Wow! I missed a lot while I was gone the last two weeks.
@Janny: I'm sorry to hear about the bleeding, hopefully it stops and it's nothing. Seems to be pretty common with ivf babies.
@AmeliaBedilia: Hope you're doing well after your retrieval.
@LoveHope: FX for your fert report today!
@SweetiePie: Not knowing exactly how I would feel about TTC after the first, I do think that sounds like a fair compromise. It's just exhausting to keep life revolving around the next cycle, probably even more so when there's a LO to care for too.
@Mrs. Pajamas: "It's just money".. that's what we try to tell ourselves too. It sucks that we can't have our dream of having kids without spending all this money like most people, but this is just the shitty cards we were dealt with and we just have to work with it.
AFM: I'm on CD8 now and just went in for a baseline check. My cycle started a week ago when we were still in Europe, so the plan was to just check where I am today. Since I have long cycles, my RE figured I may still be at the equivalent of CD3 today. However, just as I pulled into the Quest lab this morning, I got an email from him saying his MIL is not doing well, and he's heading back to Taiwan for the rest of July. So now I dunno if I should proceed if I can with one of the other doctors, or wait for him to return.

@Mrs. Pajamas: That's an exciting next step! I agree, it's just money. There is nothing more valuable than your precious family! My husband and I took a loan out to do our IVF cycle. My husband is a deputy and he has a consistent off duty job, so we had the extra few hundred every month. We were very thankful for that! It's a short term loan, so we won't be paying it off forever. We feel the same though... It's just money!
Yes, this is our first IVF cycle! So far, the only real side effects have been headache and mild discomfort in my pelvis. I've also had some constipation... Metamucil for me!
kiwi / 501 posts
@PurplePumps: How was Europe!! Hoping you can still move forward this cycle!
honeydew / 7463 posts
@Mrs. Pajamas: thanks! Yes I remember the timeline from stims onward but what I have trouble remembering is what needs to happen before stims. Like how quickly I could get that going. At my clinic with PGD you do the transfer a month from retrieval. So if I did a retrieval in Aug I could do the transfer in Sept. What I don't know is whether I can even do a retrieval in August! That seems soon but I hope it's possible.
And I have no real reason for needing this timeline other than I'm impatient and I would like to try for a summer baby. I had PPD the first time around and I really think the cold and getting darker earlier impacted me.
