Lining is 9mm and trilaminar already, so that’s good. Still waiting on estrogen level. He wants it over 200.

@Sams Mom: I told my RE today that the universe was telling me not to get any more second opinions.

Guys, I'm stressing. So this was a HRT FET and I was on 2 a day progesterone pessaries from before transfer.

My levels are rising ok (been tested 9 and 11dpt (14 and 16dpo) but my progesterone is dropping. I've been upped to 4 pessaries a day. For some reason they don't seem to do the progesterone injections here so I'm feeling pretty anxious. Do you think this is going to end up another loss?

    P4 was 33 on 14dpo and 27 today on 16dpo)

@jaguar: I've been lurking and hoping for the best for everyone on this thread, but I wanted to comment on your progesterone levels. For this pregnancy that is healthy so far (almost 12 weeks), my progesterone level at 14dpo was 32 and my RE was really happy with that. I was also on supplements. It's a little strange that the level is dropping, but hopefully an extra suppository will help keep your levels up.

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@Chuckles: Thanks hun. They were happy on 14dpo at 33, but obviously this drop in 2 days is concerning. I wish it was easier! I was happy when she said it's doubling was fine, but I now feel filled with worry again!

  11. Chuckles

    persimmon / 1495 posts

@jaguar: I totally understand. I hope you can stay positive and focus on your great betas! One other thing, just for comparison's sake, for my most recent miscarriage, my progesterone level at around 14dpo was only 7.5. And I had started supplementing a couple of days before. So 27 is still pretty high.

@Chuckles: Let's hope adding the extra one helps it stabilise! I so appreciate your feedback.

@jaguar: Wish I knew more on this but I just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you! I'd try to stay focused on those betas!!

@yellowbeach: Echoing Sam'sMom! All the good luck with this try!

@foodiebee: Thank you lovely. I still feel like such a newbie at all this .. doesn't matter how many transfers I've done over the years. 😂

  16. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@lilyofthewest: Thanks for this! When I Google it most often talks about dropping levels = miscarriage, which worried me even more with our history.

I just keep trying to tell myself that this cycle has been 100% artificial so my P4 was never going to break records... I just hope it keeps on progressing!

Meanwhile I keep peeing on things and hoping against hope that they continue to rise. Silly really but man.. I'm so anxious!

@jaguar: NOT silly! I peed on so many sticks while I watched the line progress. You do what you have to sometimes. Just look at that line! 😍

@jaguar: lurking and we’ve been on this IVF thread together before. Many moons ago

I vaguely remember something like this happening to me in the very very early days. And I remember being worried but my doc said that fluctuations are ok they just want it to be above a certain threshold. So if it went down a little from one beta to the next, it was fine as long as it stayed above the threshold.

And I too was only on suppositories (2nd time around). I requested to not have the shots and he said it was no problem, the supplements are more effective anyway because it’s being delivered closer to the area that needs it

    Very happy for you! xoxo

All my testing came back great (no genetic issues, as suspected, I just have either bad luck or bad eggs due to DOR). Ordered my meds today, they should be here tomorrow, and I’m ready to start as soon as af starts next week. It feels so good to get going! I think actually paying the money made me finally relax a little, it was my biggest hang up because I felt guilty spending so much money we don’t have when we have two amazing kids at home. Anyway, just wanted to update

  21. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@foodiebee: It is a pretty line hey?

@SweetiePie: Hey beautiful! Yeah, progesterone is a bit crap... I hate the uncertainty with it all. I asked my doc for PIO injections and apparently they're not available here. A million pessaries a day instead. Whatever works!

@LAZB: This is a great update hun. I know that $$$ guilt when we have the two girls here - it's a real thing. But focus on how you see your family.. hard to put a price on what your heart longs for, hey?

  22. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@jaguar: PIO shots were the absolute worst! I did them the first go round and it was the worst part of the entire process (for me). I had nerve damage from the oil causing lumps in the muscles and I still have pain 5 years later. And I did it all by the book, he said it just happens sometimes.
I’d take a million pessaries over 2 pio shots any day! But that’s just my preference.

  23. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@SweetiePie @jaguar: I start my PIO shots tomorrow - ya'll are not inspiring me! Hopefully lining and estrogen levels will be good and we'll stay on track for Monday transfer.

  24. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@SweetiePie: Oh no! Well, maybe I'll just stop whining about my pessaries, haha.

    @yellowbeach: I'll be stalking along!

I had a huge bleed yesterday and thought it was all over. It was not good.. I was mess. My clinic got me in for bloods and we waited all day for the call - but weirdly, levels have still risen... so we're now classified as a threatened m/c. Joy!

  25. foodiebee

    kiwi / 662 posts

@jaguar: Oh NO. That's hugely stressful. Clinging to those rising numbers!

@yellowbeach: YOUR PIO shots are going to be grand, nothing like our experiences.

  26. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

Everything looked good thing morning - lining 9mm, estrogen 211, so we are scheduled for transfer on Monday at 11:30am. Let's hope this is finally our lucky try.

    @yellowbeach: great!

@foodiebee: Definitely! My Clearblue Digital went up to 3+ so I'm hoping it's a good sign!

@yellowbeach: Fingers and toes crossed! Sounds likea beautiful lining - come on emby!

@LAZB: I mean, I knew it would be called that.. still sucks to see it on paper though hey!

@jaguar: following along after a week off the computer...any news? I'm so hoping this is a sticky one for you. You have had so many damn rollercoasters mama!!

@yellowbeach: hoping for the best for you as well. So did you change protocol this time after all? I lost track of what happened with the specialists

@LAZB: super exciting to have everything in place to get started on your cycle. I remember it so so well. Good luck to you mama!

  30. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@Mrs. Pajamas: in taking a baby aspirin and prednisone which are new for me. I had scheduled an appointment with a specialist and he unfortunately died two weeks ago so I took that as the universe sending me a message. My RE feels hopeful for this embie on Monday since it’s PGS normal and only frozen once. That’s his theory on why all my priors failed. I sure hope he’s right.

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@Mrs. Pajamas: Hey lovely! I am still here... absolutely packing it, but so far no more bleeds since the other day - still on a tonne of progesterone. Have an early early scan on Tuesday (just shy of 6 weeks) and hoping to see a bean in the right place. So full of nerves!

@yellowbeach: I took baby aspirin when I was throwing everything at Claire's cycle and I swear it helped! Can't wait to hear about Monday's transfer xx

@yellowbeach: omg the doc died??.. wtf??? That's crazy. Oy, just what you need right?

@jaguar: so glad to hear there have been no more bleeds. Now I'm nervous too for that scan. Crossing everything for you!

Omg what a day. Long story short, 50/50 whether this pregnancy makes it.

So the good news is, there is somehow still a yolk sac there, which at 5w5d we would expect. Too hard to make out anything more than that because we have multiple SCH that are literally behind the sac and scattered around my uterus. Not ideal. You could actually see the blood flowing on the scan!

FS said it's too hard to call, but reckons it's 50/50 with the amount of bleeding she can see around the uterus. Biggest risk is that one of the SCHs will take the yolk sac out with it when it as it goes. Cervix closed atm.

So for now... we wait and rest and see what happens. We do repeat bloods in 2 days to see if they continue to rise, and try to just hope for the best. She did say to expect more bleeding because of the amount she saw still circulating, and it's now 12 hours later, and it's still red as I'm wiping so... stressful times ahead in the Jag household..

@jaguar: Ack!!!! No no no. Not happening. I see a perfect looking GS and YS there. I’ve got everything crossed for you hoping this little bean hangs on. 💛💛💛

@yellowbeach: It is so gutwrenching. No baby or heartbeat today but honestly... after the amount of blood and huge clots I passed, I can't believe there is anything left at all. Gosh I hope this frosty can hang on.

@jaguar: If it gives you any reassurance, if you came into the ED at 5w5d and I was doing your US, I'd be surprised to see a fetal heartbeat that early. Don't want to give you false hope, but it's definitely reasonable to have a lot of hope!
