@yellowbeach: @foodiebee: thanks for sympathizing ladies. I guess I’m worried now that these eggs won’t be good since they are taking so long, and we are throwing a good one away.
Honestly, I’m less stressed than I was last week, I’m kind of giving up control, I’m just tired of feeling like shit from the meds. Plus, I’ve been fighting with my husband a lot, and the extra emotions are not helping.

@LAZB: must have been a second page issue. I hear you on giving up control. I go through phases where I am very detail focused (#of follicles, traveling lab levels, etc) and then other moments when I think to myself why bother. It’s a total mind fuck really. I just remind myself what will be will be.

@LAZB: 10000% what was said above. Also, feeling like shit from the meds doesn't help you cope with the off-the-charts stress involved. As for the eggs not being good because they took too long, the reverse is that they'll be better because you gave them more time to cook at their own speed! I mean, this is what I told myself ...

@foodiebee: I like your thinking
Went in this morning, and I trigger tonight for retrieval Monday morning. So glad it’s finally happening

Saw my RE this morning for an E2 level and ultrasound for this transfer cycle. Lining is already 8.0 mm, and Estradiol is 286, so we are on track. Today is CD9, and that's after 9 days of estrace 2mg TID. Plan is for transfer of three abnormal embryos on 6/18. Will likely POAS on 6/25, or 7dp5dt.

@Mrs. Pajamas: @jaguar: thank you!! I missed the call from my RE, waiting to hear fertilization report. Nurse said it looks great on the voicemail, but I called back for details. Will report back

@LAZB: heck yeah! That so exciting after everything you were concerned about!

@LAZB: Omg! What a flipping brilliant start!!!
@Mrs. Pajamas: 9 weeks today and somehow still have a baby in there. Getting pretty nervous for NIPT testing but one day at a time!

@yellowbeach: @Sams Mom: @jaguar: thanks!! This is such a crazy process for sure, what a different place I’m in than a week ago

@jaguar: @LAZB: So excited to see these updates!!!
@jaguar: SO freaking excited that you've reached the 9 week mark!
@LAZB: What are your next steps? Are you testing? Freezing? Transferring?
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@foodiebee: we are freezing and testing, transfer probably in July or August depending on how my cycles line up.
Actually, question for you ladies. We have a vacation in the middle of July (8-15) and another one at the beginning of August (1-7), would you just wait until the August cycle so as not to worry about traveling and early pregnancy? Or do you think it will be a good distraction? I think we can line up so we can do the transfer before the second vacation, but not 100% sure. I’ve travelled in early pregnancy before, but things are different now I guess

@LAZB: that's such fabulous news! keep growing little ones! Honestly I would not worry about vacation scheduling or scheduling of anything for that matter because if you're committed to IVF frankly everything else in the world has to take a back seat. If you perfectly planned around vacations, fun parties where you want to drink, work stress, etc. you'd literally never start. So if your cycle window lines up sothat you won't be out of town for anything just go for it. I did my last FET 8 days before moving across country and taking a 10 day trip to Italy with a 22 month old. That little frostie is turning 2 next month! I thought it was crazy at the time, but it was the only window we had to try an FET and avoid shipping our embryos, find a new RE, etc. I was convinced it would never work with all that stress, but it did!

@LAZB: I'm not sure what I'd do with all that travel so close together. I totally see where Mrs. Pajamas is coming from and you probably can't go wrong either way, it's just a matter of what you and your husband feel comfortable with, you know?
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@Mrs. Pajamas: @foodiebee: thanks y’all. I think as long as the timing lines up he will probably just continue with a July transfer. Hopefully the second vacation will be a nice distraction while I wait for an ultrasound if I get a bfp

Went to the RE this morning. Lining is still 8.0 and now trilaminar, so we are going to transfer on Thursday (instead of the 18th). Start PIO tonight!

4 of AA and BB quality tested and frozen! I’m feeling better, now we wait for genetic results which should be back in 10-14 days

@LAZB: that’s great! Assume they were all 5 day blasts? Will you ask to know the sex before transfer or no?
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@yellowbeach: yep, all 5 day blasts. And I think we will wait to ask the sex until after a positive test

Two more also made it to blastocyst stage, but they said they were very poor quality and wouldn’t make a viable pregnancy or even make it to freeze or thaw

@LAZB: That is a great result, fingers and toes are crossed.
I'm doing NIPT bloods for this pregnancy tomorrow and am pretty nervous about an issue flagging up. Lots of waiting all round it seems!

@LAZB: Fantastic news!! so happy for you!

@jaguar: @Mrs. Pajamas: thanks!
@jaguar: I’ll be thinking of you! Hope the results come back quick!
