@Leialou: sorry to hear your news. Frozen cycles can be easier on the body, so I'm optimistic for the future.
@Apex: updates?
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
Thank you all so much for your kind words. Since we have 4 frozen embryos we will be doing a FET. I would like to have one natural cycle before going through it to give my body some time to get back to normal. My ovaries are still enlarged and causing discomfort so I would love for them to go back to normal first. My DH doesn't want to wait and would be happy to do a transfer in October, but we're going out of town the 24-29th. So we'll probably be doing the FET in November if my doctor gives the ok.
I'm going to call on Monday and schedule my follow up appointment. I'll definitely update y'all on that.
The main thing I feel is guilt for forcing my embryos to be created only to stop growing.

@kentuckygirl: good luck tomorrow!
@Apex: I'm looking forward to your update! Are you really nervous?

@Leialou: Taking a breather in between sounds like a good way to put this cycle behind you and get a fresh start.
apricot / 452 posts
@Leialou: I think taking a breather in between is a great idea. My RE no longer does fresh transfers so everyone has to do FETs. I had my retrieval in August, am on a break this cycle and then will do the FET next cycle. I have to say, that I was annoyed at this at first since I didn't want to wait, but it really has been good. My body feels so much better!!! Also, DH and I have had a chance to get some much needed time together where we don't talk about IVF.
Hopefully you're FET works! It's so great that you still have 4 embryos left.

Hi ladies, the good news is that i was able to see my little peanuts. The other news is that i have 4 beautiful, little peanuts in there..... i sat in my car and cried for a while before i had to go back to work. my RE advised me not to panic yet, because we still don't know if all of them are viable. But for the love of God, i have 4 babies in there, how on earth do i stay calm?
I'm really excited about getting to see my babies tho, lets see how things go for now.

@Apex: holy WOW!! 4 peanuts!! Congratulations on every single one of them. You are going to be a FANTASTIC mama. They are lucky to have you!
@kentuckygirl: congratulations!

@Apex: Oh wow. Whatever happens...it will all be okay in the end. You can do this!
ETA: Other than the 4 babies, how are you feeling physically? Are you feeling okay?

@Apex: Wow, what a surprise! I hope everything goes well and you aren't panicking too much. Maybe reach out to Mrs. Green Grass who had the same thing happen?

@Apex: Holy IVF overachiever! Wow. I have been thinking of you all day like a crazy person and I will keep sending you + babies lots of love and calming vibes.
nectarine / 2705 posts
@Apex: WOW! Staying calm would definitely be hard - but the best thing you can do is send love x4 to each and every one of those little babies in your belly. Find some time each day to just close your eyes, envision them, and send them love Congrats! I echo @Mrs.Someone 's sentiments about reaching out to Mrs. Green Grass.

@kentuckygirl: Good luck to you! So happy to hear that two fertilized! I'll continue to send lots of positivity your way!

@Apex: holy shit! I knew it. Just before your appointment, I almost said,"what if one of those teeny eggs split and there is more than three?"
But I didn't want to make you cry. Talk about instant family! I will remain hopeful for whatever outcome you most hope for. Most of all I want you to be happy and healthy.

Thank you so much ladies, your support thru this has been amazing. I feel much better about my pregnancy though, no more tears, i'm happy. things are going to be just fine. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you ladies.
@spaniellove: Funny enough, i don't feel pregnant yet, i'm just really tired and thirsty these days, no nausea, thank God.
@twodoghouse: LOLLLL @ IVF overachiever, you're hilarious.
@Mrs. Jacks: I had a dream a couple days ago that there were 4 in there, but i thought i was just being crazy. Well, i guess my babies were already introducing themselves.

Transfer went really well! We did a 2 day transfer. My RE said they like to see the embryos have 2-4 cells at this stage. We had one embryo with 3 cells and the other looks really good with 4 cells. Now we pray one or both stick! Thank you all so much for your sticky thoughts!

@kentuckygirl: fingers crossed for your sticky baby. Hope the next few days fly by until it's time for betas.
