@kentuckygirl: Good luck on your egg retrieval! I really hope there are more eggs in there. Try to stay positive.

@kentuckygirl: I am sending you such good thoughts dear. I hope the retrieval goes well and don't forget it really only takes one!

@kentuckygirl: All it takes is one, the right one. I know it's hard to hear stories of people going to retrieval and getting 10, 12, 15, 20 eggs and then be told you might get 5 but high FSH is a totally different beast. Remind yourself every day that miracles can happen and don't compare your situation to anyone else's!

@kentuckygirl: I hope your retrieval goes well. I will definitely pray. It seems like you got to this point quickly!
I'm feeling a bit discouraged after getting a bfn Friday night and this morning. I'm trying to remain hopeful, but it's hard.

@Leialou: If I'm counting right that was 9 and 11 days past retrieval? That's still pretty early to be testing and entirely possible that you wouldn't see anything on an HPT yet. Don't give up!

@kentuckygirl: Good luck with your retrieval honey, 5 eggs is really not a bad number for starters. Remember its just an estimate, they could get more.

I just heard back and my beta was negative. I'm sad, but it would be worse if I hadn't tested. I wish I could know why it didn't work though.

@twodoghouse: Well, we didn't really wait so yeah. It is a better lining this time (with an earlier check) so I think this one will work.

@Leialou: I'm so sorry this cycle didn't work, maybe because this was a fresh cycle your body didn't get as much of a break from the meds. I hear that happens a lot. *hugs*

@Leialou: I am so sorry. I can't remember, how many embryos do you have frozen? Do you plan on doing a frozen cycle now?

@Leialou: So sorry to read this. When my first IVF with two perfect embryos failed, I was devastated. I couldn't imagine what had happened and was convinced it would never work. That was not true, and I now chalk the first failure up to the fact that two great looking embryos still may be genetically flawed. You have so many frozen that I am confident it is only a matter of time. Wishing you the best. P.S. I think you were smart to test first. I didn't, and I waited around all day (on my 35th bday) to receive the worst phone call of my life. The memory still stings, and I think the news would have been less painful had I slowly adjusted to the reality through an at home test taken when I wanted to take it.

Two of our three eggs fertilized. So I go in tomorrow morning for a two day transfer. Thank you all for your good thoughts & prayers. I was scared none would fertilize, and am glad we have two! Now I pray they are healthy & stick!
