ETA: Haha, I was typing my update, I promise! I just got sidetracked with work. Work...so overrated!
Thanks for asking, Ladies Well after we got no calls back from the embryologist, DH got mad and called the office and refused to hang up until he talked to the RE about our results. Sometimes his aggressiveness makes me uncomfortable, but today I was thankful for it! I can usually hold my own, but on this topic I was too emotional and afraid I'd either cry or scream at them if they wouldn't give me the results.
So, we have 1 "normal" embryo. Its a bittersweet feeling. I am so happy to know that we have 1 snowbaby to transfer in 3 weeks, which will hopefully be a take-home baby in September 2014! But it also solidifies the odds they gave us - I was hoping maybe they were wrong about the low odds and we'd end up with even more 'normal' embryos to freeze for later (either because this one fails or we want more kids in the future). But 13 eggs and only 1 normal - and my RE said he's actually very pleased with that since he was braced for ZERO normal - its just a shot of reality.
Not trying to be a Debbie Downer! I should be (and am) really happy that we have one baby to keep growing And I can't WAIT for the transfer! Jan 8th seems so far away!
I don't know why, I still feel a little sad though.

@Leialou: Awwww, hi, pretty babies! Glad it went well and I hope you take the orders to relax to the fullest extent. xoxo!

@SweetiePie: Great news that there is one to transfer! And considering that implantation has been easy for you, I hope that means good news for January. I think its totally understandable that you're a bit sad though, those are hard odds to come to terms with.

@Leialou: oh yay, what beautiful babies! Here's to hoping for a quick, easy, and SUCCESSFUL TWW When are your betas?
@SweetiePie: sorry, I posted before seeing your update. I'm so sorry you're sad. That is hard news to take. BUT, all you need is one shot right now, and you've got that-a strong, healthy little snow baby full of potential and ready and waiting for January 8 to roll around to join your family Sending you endless hugs and all of my good thoughts and energy to your little one-I'm hoping that little embie is ready to start growing very soon!

@SweetiePie: I understand you are somewhat disappointed with having just 1 normal embryo, but i think its still amazing based on the low odds you were initially given. I'm excited about your upcoming transfer tho. i know this is going to be your long awaited baby. *hugs*

@SweetiePie: You are not a Debbie Downer in any way. Never have been! It is totally understandable to be sad. Feel your feelings. It's okay. But YAY for one to transfer in 3 weeks!!! Will be rooting you and that little embie on so much!

Hi all. Its been a while since I was last on here. I know we all go through ups and downs..and I was going through a major down!
Anyways...@sweetiepie: I just read through your last post..and if it makes you feel any better my success rate from egg retrieval to freezing embryos has been at around 10% so your number is on par with mine.
Just a quick update on me... So after my last stim ivf cycle where we did egg retrieval and I got ohss again...my re canceled the transfer BC my progesterone levels were off. I was pretty bummed but we went ahead with prepping for a fet. We thawed and transferred two embryos on 12/12 and I went in for my beta today (12dpfet).. It came back positive and my level today is at 1046! I don't really get what this number means except that it should double when I go back on Thursday. I'm cautiously optimistic and thankful!! Thanks for reading.

@msmug: wow congrats!!! Keep us posted on the betas! Great news!
Are you doing PGD also? I had 8 eggs that survived to freeze but with PGD testing only one of them was viable.

Thanks @apex, @sweetiepie, and @shutterbug. It's been a long journey. I'm cautiously optimistic at this point. Today's beta #2 was 2402. My OB sonogram is scheduled for 1/6. Nervous tho since it was around that same time when I found out I had miscarried the last time. All in all, I'm in good spirits.

@sweetiepie, we didn't do pgd but we had discussed it with our RE and were going to do it the next round if this current cycle was not successful. Good luck to you!

Hi Everyone! I am new here. Iwill be starting IVF after next AF arrives. Happy to be on this site and see others who are going through similar situations. This is a pretty long thread so I don't know if I can catch up on everyones story but I'll try my best and congrats to the recent BFP's!!! The success stories are what keep me going and gives me butterflies with excitement!

Hi everyone! I haven't checked in for awhile-- my first IVF was in late October and it was unfortunately a BFN. I was really unhappy w/the communication at my clinic, so we switched to a clinic I"m much happier with so far. We're gearing for a FET transfer at the end of January. Any tips for FET? I'm not sure what to expect. Wishing everyone lots of happy baby dust in 2014!

Update: my FET was unsuccessful. We're taking a break for a few months and giving it another try in April or May. We still have 2 embryos left.

@OMM4: Wishing you lots of luck with your FET cycle! Good for you for taking a stand and switching to a clinic that made you more comfortable. There are several ladies around here who've also done FET and can give you great advice!

@Leialou: really sorry to hear. Hugs. Hoping your body recuperates and is ready when you start the procedure again.

@Leialou: My fingers are crossed that one of those embryos becomes your sticky baby soon.

@Leialou: so sorry to hear. hoping the next try is successful!!

@OMM4: The FET is soooo much easier than the fresh cycle. So just remember to relax during the procedure, tensing up might make the transfer hurt, but besides that, it was easy peasy for me. Good luck.

@Leialou: I'm still hoping and praying for you lady, you deserve that BFP. *hugs*

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Glad you found this thread!
@OMM4: Sorry to hear about your BFN with your Oct. cycle, but I'm glad that you'll be moving forward with a clinic you like better!
@Leialou: I'm so sorry to hear this. I will be crossing my fingers for you between now and next Spring for your BFP!

So here we go... had my pre-surgery physical, signed all our consent forms, and started Gonal-F yesterday. I go in for my first monitoring appointment on Saturday. How is everyone else doing? (@Mrs.Pinecone316: @OMM4: @SweetiePie: ?)
