@sunny: Yes! I was confused when I saw the original, it doesn't seem real, but then Kim and Kanye are the most narcissistic people on the planet - so maybe they thought their mere presence made it a masterpiece?

The original IS a spoof, but I love Rogen & Franco's attention todetail. There are some doubler sites out there to compare the two and they are pretty much identical, frame by frame.

Basically, no matter how narcissistic and conceited Kanye is, he's still a brilliant artist and knows what he's doing. The cliches in the video (galloping horses, wind in the hair, dramatic landscapes, etc.), having the video debut on Ellen of all places-- kind of a mockery of the whole thing. It's not my analysis that I'm linking, but after watching the video the first time (and before reading anyone else's opinions of it), I felt the same way. I guess I'm just not believing that it would be that bad if it wasn't on purpose.

I saw the originial on Ellen and thought she was makign fun of it, until I saw Kanye sitting in the chair next to her...mad props to her for not busting up laughing in his face. I was dying at how awkward and uncomfortable it was making me...the spoof made me laugh so hard!
