I just discovered that there's a Janie and Jack outlet a couple hours away from me! I'm trying to convince DH we *need* to make a day trip out of it and go there 
Anyone shop at a J&J outlet? Are the deals pretty good? How is the selection? When's a good time to go? I know they have a huge Labor Day sale but idk if I'm willing to deal w/the crazy crowds...

We have one pretty close and I honestly don't think the deals are that great. Not that much selection either

I have only been to the outlet store and didn't find any great deals.

@yellowbird: agree! same for Gymboree outlet & Gap. You get better deals, selection & quality at the regular store.

I don't have a J&J outlet near me, but I do have a Gymboree outlet, which is the same company. I don't think the clothes are any less expensive. At least at Gymboree, the materials are all from the same season the previous year at regular Gymborees, just slightly different styles. So a blue fish blowing bubbles appliqued tank from Gymboree summer '12 will show up at the Gymboree outlet as a fish wearing a bow appliqued tank in summer '13, if that makes sense.

@MungBean: an outlet just opened on our mall, and I wasn't impressed. I think the prices they post are 30% off full retail?

I didn't know they had outlets..but I wouldn't be driving a couple hours each way anyway! Especially not with dd!

FYI- they're having a major sale in the regular store. Stopped in today and half the store was on sale!
