    I had betas Monday and my hcg is already back to zero. I’ve been feeling like O is coming soon, so I took an OPK today and it was positive. I’m so amazed at how fast my body has returned to “normal”.

    @Jessiemuller88: Wow! That’s about the best news in a crappy scenario like what you’ve gone through.

    @yellowbeach: glad everything went well, and as weird as it sounds, that they found something that could be a contributing factor.

    @Jessiemuller88: that is great news that you bounce back so quickly. I mean, sucky scenario, but glad everything went well.

    @Jessiemuller88: That is AWESOME! I don't know what your plans are for this next cycle but, whatever they are, good luck and I am so glad that your body is back to it's homeostasis and ready to go.

    @Kaohinani: @Yellowbeach: @Sams Mom: thank you ladies. I don’t know why, but it brought me some comfort. We are not going to ttc for at least 2 cycles. I go back to my RE on Feb. 12th to get a game plan for the future. I also made DH get his swimmers tested, so we will see what his results yield.

    @yellowbeach: I LOVE it! That is one good RE. 😉 #GreatReadingMaterialOveraCupOfCoffee 📑☕

    @Sams Mom: G has terrible bruxism as well (* he takes after me). It became so bad he was waking up with blood everywhere. Since bite/grind guards are not really available (or advised) for toddler and preschool-aged children for night use, our dentist said this was one rare case when a pacifier was okay. So, at 2 years old, we had to re-introduce the paci. G still uses it at bed although I know we will have to wean it soon. By 5/6 years of age, he can have a grind guard fitted.

    @Kaohinani: Sam was never a binkie baby much to my dismay 😭 (he would rather use me than a binkie 🤦‍♀️)

    I will but some of the larger bunnies and see if it helps. Button style or Phillips Avent style?

    14 dpo - 2/3 days before AF.
    Here's my chart since it isn't my POAS date yet ...

    @Sams Mom: The dentist said to make certain they are specified for 18+ mos (harder nipple) and are orthodontic. G seems to like these and his grinding is far less although he still grinds tiny holes into them. We replace them weekly.

    @Kaohinani: awesome, I'll try some out, thank you

    AFM: Here is my chart, on the climb finally

  17. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

    @Sams Mom: Beautiful! 😁 That really was a nicely defined dip you had on 5 dpo. 👍 I am really hopeful that this could be your lucky. Wow, your POAS date is tomorrow... Are you really going to POAS at 8 dpo? 🤞

    I am surprised my temps are still rising. I keep waiting for them to start dropping. 🤔 Perhaps, it will be like last cycle where they stayed elevated until the day before and then plummet .60 the day AF shows? I am so used to years of s-l-o-w descents starting around 10 to 12 dpo. My "new normal," perhaps? 🤷‍♀️

  18. paranundrum

    clementine / 811 posts

    @Kaohinani: @Sams Mom: Wow, both of your charts look amazing! I have high hopes for you two!

    My SO and I have agreed to try on our own for one more cycle and then go seek some help again. He doesn't want to go, but we obviously can't do it on our own. He didn't have any alternatives either so we compromised on one more try.

  19. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

    @paranundrum: Thank you.
    I am glad to hear (read) that you and your SO have been able to reach a compromise! That is fantastic news! 😁👍 I do not believe that any man wishes to go to a fertility specialist or RE, at least, not initially ... mostly due to the stigma that the issue of being infertile as a couple may be, in part, due to his "swimmers." Women, on average, are much more open to testing and finding out the "why" before heading into various treatments. I am very excited for you! Taking that step is HUGE! 👍👏

    @Kaohinani: I think I'll use a combo OSOM tomorrow 🤷‍♀️

  21. Sams Mom

    @paranundrum: that's exciting! I mean I'm digging my heels in over here over going to an RE... But new plans and testing do provide for better chances 😁

    @Kaohinani: I just went looking for the percentages like you had in your screenshot. Hopefully the next couple days ups the percentage of pregnancy charts like mine 😬

  24. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

    @Sams Mom: Looking good, mama! 👍
    I always take the percentages with a grain of salt as they don't take into consideration:
    (1) exact fluctuations, (2) medications, (3) if it is "normal" for a woman to have a cycle like presented or not, (4) if a cycle includes all markers for pregnancy (like I have an ID and triphasic) but I have had cycles with 2 dips, triphasic AND higher temps that had lower probability for pregnancy (doesn't make sense), and, (5) FF can only use what they are given by consumers to compare and use for their statistical results... the pool and criteria changes frequently.
    Honestly, I just like seeing that (in a small pool of women, nationally) my chances "look decent," especially when my pregnancy numbers (pool size and percentage) is SO much higher than ovulatory numbers. (An example is this cycle look at the pregnancy vs ovulatory chart numbers and percentages.) It keeps me hopeful --- until AF arrives. 😶😶😶🤣😂

    Update on the hysteroscopy results yesterday... my RE nurse wrote back and clarified that while he did see and remove an adhesion, it was small and probably not the cause of our issues, although certainly not helping. We are still going to move forward with a 2nd retrieval cycle after this one. We'll transfer at least one of our remaining 2 embryos from "the bad batch" during that cycle since the new ones we get will be awaiting PGS testing and results. I'm leaning towards two this time for the first time ever. I feel like that last little embie, the runt of the litter, deserves a chance to join our family. And sometimes it's the underdog that proves strongest. I'll jump on as a cheerleader for Feb POAS, and we'll likely start our IVF cycle Feb 20/21 with a March POAS date.

    @yellowbeach: sounds like a plan lady! So hypothetical, and you might not even be this far yet, but if a baby takes this next cycle, and you've already done retrieval #2... More babies? I guess what I'm asking is, what is you guy's number? Or, like me it's the get baby #2 and then we'll see thing.

    ETA: you can tell me to pound dirt too. I just have a fascination with ART/IVF

    @Kaohinani: eat all the foods! I'm going on my first gluten free, red meat free-ish, less dairy, more leafy vegetable shopping trip this evening 🤢

    @Sams Mom: I’m 1/2 and DH is 1/4. I’m not opposed to stopping at just 2, but have to get to #2 before #3, right? 😉 guess it would depend on how the retrieval went. 40 is much worse odds than age 38 I’m finding but we shall see.

    @yellowbeach: k, I'm a ding dong. Is that you're 1 of 2 kids and hubby is 1 of 4? Or how many kids beyond the 1 you want 🤦‍♀️

  32. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

    @Sams Mom: Yep you read it right - I have 1 sister and his is 1 of 4 boys in his family. I'd like 2 and could be happy there all things considered, but not opposed to 3, maybe 4 if I were to get greedy.
